This group exists to communicate information and answer questions about the Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards, an all-encompassing Awards contest for Tolkien-based fanfiction (including pieces based on any of Tolkien's Arda-based writings, as well as Peter Jackson's film adaptations). Only members of this Yahoo group can nominate stories; members and nominated authors may vote on the nominated stories. Votes will be comment-based, providing everyone with at least one vote with the award of FEEDBACK. Top three places per category will win awards, and several other stories will be awarded honourable mentions.
The 2009 Awards are now accepting nominations. Nominations will be accepted until June 30, and authors will have until July 7 to complete the nomination process. All nominations and voting will occur via our voting website. Questions may be posted here, or you may email the awards administrator privately.
NOTE: When requesting a membership, please let us know if your Yahoo ID is different than any pennames you use in the fandom. This is important because if we do not know your pennames we may give you two usernames at the voting website, http://www.mefawards.net/MEFA2009/ .
