This group exists to communicate information and answer questions about the Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards, an all-encompassing Awards contest for Tolkien-based fanfiction (including pieces based on any of Tolkien's Arda-based writings, as well as Peter Jackson's film adaptations). Only members of this Yahoo group can nominate stories; members and nominated authors may vote on the nominated stories. Votes will be comment-based, providing everyone with at least one vote with the award of FEEDBACK. Top three places per category will win awards, and several other stories will be awarded honourable mentions.

We are currently in the categorization phase of the award. Check ballots will be posted through July 13, at the end of which time only works-in-progress will be moved (and they will only be moved if completed). Members may also vote on any of the 660 nominated pieces.
