MECA (Muslims Establishing Community in America) was created in Los Angeles (Aug. 05) to help build and strengthen Muslim communities across Southern California. MECA targets those individuals who are past undergraduate studies and are single, married, or married with young children. We strive to strengthen our communal bonds through social, educational, and outreach activities.

Some of our key projects include a Monthly Gathering that is held on the second Saturday of each month, an Eid Toy Drive that provides gifts for Muslim children in the Southern California area, a support group for new Muslims (Coffee and Converts), and ongoing interfaith activities.

MECA SoCal Forum is designed to be a place where MECA members can politely discuss and share pertinent social, educational, and outreach information relating to our community. We are first and foremost a social group connecting to each other through the tenants of Islam.
