M-Number-6an international Mensa special interest group
This SIG is for Mensa members worldwide who enjoy and appreciate Patrick McGoohan's classic television series, The Prisoner.
Our more than 60 members are Mensans from eight different countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Norway, Switerland, the United Kingdom and the U.S. As an international Mensa SIG, we warmly welcome members from all national Mensa groups. There are no dues or fees.
A group of Mensans annually visit Portmeirion, the architecturally-distinctive, unique and almost magical village where The Prisoner was filmed in 1966 and 1967. The new number 2's are no longer about, but you can see some outstanding photographs of Portmeirion by clicking here. The photographer was Mark Griffin of British Mensa.
Clough Williams-Ellis built Portmeirion from 1925 to 1975 on a private peninsula on the coast of Snowdonia, Wales.
MENSA is an international high-IQ society. The sole criterion for membership is a score at or above the 98th percentile on any of a number of standardized supervised IQ tests. For more information, visit Mensa International or the national Mensa group in your country.
