Nice to hear from Bil in the "colony" of Arizona. After certain events
in recent years I sometimes think that the British Islands are
colonies of the USA!

HamSIG is now an ISIG and is for members of Mensa who are Radio
Amateurs in any part of the world. M-AmRad is recognised as an e-SIG
by British Mensa and we also welcome members from anywhere. As HamSIG
is a much larger group there is more activity in it. A few months ago
I suggested that M-AmRad could specialise in helping members get their
licenses and also to upgrade them. One of the members in the USA was
good enough to join us to offer help but, so far, we have not had any
members seek such help. The offer is still open and it is up to our
members to discuss any topics that they want to.

Members of this group are welcome to join HamSIG as well to enjoy the
extra activity and a different perspective on the hobby,-

If you know anyone else who is a member of Mensa and is interested in
the hobby then please tell them about us. I think that HamSIG is
mostly for those with licenses but in M-AmRad we also welcome SWLs.

As the sunspots start to return, probably next year, I am hoping that
some of us will be able to arrange skeds so that we actually talk to
each other. Meanwhile we could resort to other methods such as Skype.
