It's a science fiction setting of things man was not meant to know in the Biblical sense and where we make lists of rules so we can break them -- and make up plenty of new ones as we go along. This is the present seen in a bloodstained and tie-dyed funhouse mirror, and beneath the light of alien moons see things our sun's ashamed to show.
