The LUMBOKA Group is a dynamic forum that facilitates a wide range of deliberations with a view towards community initiatives and dev in Kenya. It is motivated by a strong desire to challenge its membership to be alive to direct community participation and the role of good citizenship.
It is a deliberate forum whose membership is by invitation only.
Smarting over 200 strong, LUMBOKA’s membership is drawn predominantly from Western part of KENYA from the BUKUSU/TACHONI Communities who straddle BUNGOMA and TRANS NZOIA counties, & by extension Kenya & the Diaspora.

Est in 2003, The LUMBOKA Group is a virtual power house with thought provoking intellectual discourse & a professional networking place.
2004 April. LUMBOKA supports surgery for two boys (names withheld) who had been genitally mutilated in Sirisia, Bungoma. The successful penile reconstructive surgery by Dr. Petro Cavadas was performed in Valencia, Spain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4278323.stm
2005 November. LUMBOKA launches its first LUMBOKA MEMORIAL GAMES at Bungoma High School. Over 10 boys Secondary Schools participated with the winning top three awarded LUMBOKA trophies and medals.
2005 November. LUMBOKA foots bill at Nakuru Hospital for breast reduction surgery performed on a primary pupil from Bungoma (name withheld). Her condition had kept her away from attending school until this successful surgery.
2007, July. After his burial in 1992 the leadership of the day did little to elevate his legacy and the late Masinde Muliro’s dilapidated gravesite with overgrown weeds confirmed it. To restore his legacy for posterity LUMBOKA in collaboration with Bakokho gave the gravesite a facelift as a token of appreciation to this unsung hero.
