We are a not-for-profit regional organization with more than thirty member dive clubs.

Membership in LIDA is open to individuals, scuba clubs/organizations and corporations.

Our Mission is to: educate divers and the general public about SCUBA DIVING; open new dive locations; promote the sport of SCUBA/SKIN DIVING in Long Island waters; act as a communication liaison between divers and government to promote and protect divers’ interests; and to protect and preserve our marine environment.
