Some costs to keep in mind, in general, if you choose to do this:
- book printing costs
- isbns
- business registration and tax ID numbers
- copyright fees
- website hosting/domain registration
- copyediting
- cover artist
- marketing
- any software that you'll use to publish the books yourself
It can all be worth it though. I did it and run my own firm. Do your
research. It also depends if you want to publish yourself or others. It also
depends if you want to be a traditional publisher (where you take all
financial risk) or be a subsidy publisher (where the authors pays to see
his/her work in print).
Email me offlist with any questions.
Best,
