Description
This group is for the discussion of live steam Shay locomotives all scales including 1:1. If you have ever tried to graphically layout link motion (Stevo) for direct valve gear or have heard of Hugo Bilgram the inventor of a usefull steam valve diagram and the first bevel gear generator, then you are in the right place.

Hi Zach,  I have built the 2.5" Harris Shay. I doing so, I have rationalized the design and corrected the drawings, working from the orginal 1.5" he did

Zach, The gears are off the shelf Boston Gears highly modified, 2 to 1 reduction, be sitting down when they quote you the price I bought mine 4 years ago and
