Description
Livingston County Outdoors Club sprang into action in western New York May 7, 2011 with an organizational meeting followed by their first hike later in the day at Letchworth State Park. Club members are interested in all types of outdoor activities: bird watching, hiking, canoeing, mushroom hunting, butterfly watching, star gazing and many other activities. We share a passion for nature and a passion for begin outside. This is the place to share news, information and questions about outdoor activities in and around Livingston county, New York.

Wild Mushrooms
Black morels are up. Start looking for yellow morels in about two weeks, unless the weather stays very cold. Sorry, but I don't know of any good morel-hunting

Three Blue-winged Teal, Belted Kingfisher (caught one minnow, missed on the second dive), double rainbow reflecting off the water, small flock of migrating
