A group created to share materials and information for owners of Schiebout Little Gem Trailers and Little Gem trailers by Gem Industries. These unique vintage trailers were built in Grand Rapids, MI.

Herman Schiebout began building trailers in 1941 and started Schiebout Mfg. Co. in 1947.

He Incorporated in 1966 and Schiebout Mfg.Co became Gem Industries Inc. He also went from square corner design to round corners in 1966. In 1966 he became the largest dealer in the United States of the Rhincold Alaska Gas Refrigerators "Made in Germany".

Of course he used thousands of them each year in travel trailers and truck campers . The last year of production was 1977.
