There are many instances in life when we're paralyzed from succeeding
because we are so fearful of failing.
And, too, it seems to be overly cauterized into the deepest part of
our brains that even if we've clearly, undoubtedly failed, it's
somehow sacrilege, completely unacceptable to even admit that we've
failed.
Now, mind you: those of us who've failed weren't out trying to steal,
or rob, or cheat, or circumvent. We could fail ONLY IF WE WERE
TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS. Though probably with insufficient
means or money or power, nonetheless, our failure can come ONLY when
trying to do the right thing.
So, my question dear friends, is this: From whom do we need permission
to admit that we've failed? How can we possibly heal or recover from
our failures UNLESS we ADMIT them or confess that we were not at our
best? And, indeed, would the world fall apart even if we were to say
something on the order of: "Man! I thought my eyeballs were pointed
in the right way, looking at the right thing(s) but, I really messed
THAT up! I wonder how I can use that failure to improve myself (or
someone else)"?
Thanks, and Keep STRONG!!
