Director's Bulletin
9th November 2009

I would have written this Bulletin several weeks ago. However, I can
supply many excuses for not having lifted a finger. The most convincing –
and perhaps the truest – is that I have been installing Windows 7
Professional 64 bit. Mr Gates wrote to me at the beginning of October,
offering me a copy of his latest operating software at the hard to refuse
price of £30. So I paid him and downloaded the software. Installing it
went like a dream. I didn’t have to download a single driver. It then took
several weeks to get the whole system working as I wanted. But I have now
been able to fit 8Gb of RAM and give myself what may be more computing
power than NASA had in 1969. Many of my friends are hostile to the idea of
intellectual property rights. So, for that matter, am I. No doubt, though,
Mr Gates does make exceedingly good software. On this occasion, he well
deserved his £30. So here goes with the Bulletin.

The LA Conference

Our London conference went off very well. As usual, we were solidly
booked, and we had to turn away a few last minute arrivals. The speeches
were uniformly good. Guido Fawkes gave an interesting and entertaining
speech at the dinner. This year, moreover, we seem to have got the video
recording right. I bought a Canon HG10 high definition video camera late
last year. This gave me something like television quality video footage.
As with all cheapish video cameras, however, the sound quality was rather
drossy. So, a few weeks back, I bought a Rode external microphone. This
perked the sound up no end. I didn’t get round to hiring the builders’
lights that I kept promising myself. Even so, I think the quality of the
video footage is remarkably good. Many thanks to Mario Huet for manning
the camera.

You can see the video footage for yourselves by going here:
http://vimeo.com/channels/65328

Other Video Files

Now that I can process high definition video at better than real time
speeds, I’ve decided to start taking full advantage of the Vimeo account I
bought earlier this year, and to upload much better versions of stuff I
first made available via Google Video. So please keep an eye on my Vimeo
account - http://www.vimeo.com/seangabb. I plan to upload 5Gb a week of
video. This will include the celebrated Botsford Archive.

The Chris R. Tame Memorial Prize

You may recall that this year’s title was “Can a Libertarian also be a
Conservative?” I had a number of interesting submissions. After much
thought, I decided to award the prize to Antoine Clarke. I thought his
submission was the best. What most impressed me was that he went beyond
the reading matter that I suggested, and he used a quotation from Lord
Acton in a most relevant way. We shall publish his essay just as soon as
our Editorial Director has found the time to set to work.

Personal Message

At the Conference, I met two people who turned out to be neighbours of
mine here in Deal. One of them must walk past my front door every time he
goes to the chip shop. Well, with the Baby Bear now jabbering away and
insisting on endless viewings of Eddie Cantor in Keep Young and Beautiful
and Melina Mercouri in ta pa?d?? t?? ?e??a?? (both courtesy of YouTube),
Mrs Gabb and I aren’t up to much entertaining. But we can certainly offer
coffee. So do please get in touch.

Libertarian Outreach

In the past month, I have written articles for Gay Times and for VDare.
The first was about drug legalisation. Sadly, Gay Times doesn’t put it
stuff on-line. So, if you want to read my case, you’ll have to put on dark
glasses and brave the giggles of Miss Patel in her school uniform as you
shamble round your local newsagent – unless, of course, you already
subscribe. The second you can read here: http://www.vdare.com/gabb/index.htm

I’m rather pleased with this and with my other articles for VDare. What
I’m trying to do is to make a case against the British National Party that
doesn’t rely on smears. I don’t believe the BNP is nowadays a national
socialist party. Much of what it says – and almost certainly believes – is
attractive to millions of people in this country. I admire Nick Griffin
for his courage for standing his ground in our post-modern police state. I
doubt if I’d be half so brave were Libertarianism to become as unpopular
with the authorities as white nationalism is. This being said, he and the
entire leadership of the BNP are tainted by what they used to believe. It
would be a shame if they were to become the only alternative to the
political cartel that now governs England. And I am able to say this to an
audience that has not so far been exposed to honest criticism of the BNP.

Other than this, I’ve done quite a lot of radio. And I do promise, now my
computer is so wonderfully powerful, to start recording and uploading all
this again.

Libertarian Alliance Meetings

Our friends over at the other Libertarian Alliance continue with their
monthly meetings. I can hardly ever get up to London to attend these. But
they always look very interesting, and I receive endless reports of how
interesting they have been.

The next meetings are:

On Monday, 9 November David McDonagh will talk on “Why Classical
Liberalism faded after 1860.”

On Monday 14 December, Kristian Niemietz will talk on “20 Years After: The
Fall and Rise of Socialism in East Germany”

On Monday 11 January 2010 Antoine Clarke will talk on “The Wisdom of
Crowds”.

Libertarian Holidays

With my two women, I went on holiday in September to Crete. This was my
own fifth time there, and Mrs Gabb’s second. This was the first time we
had a child with us, and that would always have made it a more difficult
time. However, the Baby Bear behaved herself remarkably well. Our problem
was the Greeks. They joined the Euro on the basis of massive false
accounting, and an optimistic rate of exchange, and then allowed an
inflation of costs to continue that has now made their price level into a
joke. A result of this was that Crete was almost empty of tourists. Most
of the coastal resorts were almost empty. The historical and
archaeological sites were abandoned. Unfortunately, rather than cut prices
in an attempt to attract the remaining business, the response of the
taverna proprietors has been to rip off every foreigner who steps through
the door. We spent a fortnight paying about three times more for
indifferent kebabs than the Turks round the corner charge here in Deal.

Also, I find myself increasingly dismissive of the modern Greeks. When I
was first out there in 1987, I found that they could mostly understand me
if I spoke slowly in their strange pronunciation. Nowadays, they seem so
pleased with the ugly patois they call Greek that they cannot even follow
quotations from the New Testament. Indeed, on our second Sunday, I
insisted on attending a church service. The church was empty except for
some German tourists. The priest responded to my carefully phrased
greeting with the sort of stare you get from a caged animal. He and his
deacon raced through the service as if they were trying for a record, then
ran out of the church. Mrs Gabb and I stayed awhile to look at some
decidedly sub-Byzantine icons and much evidence of mind-rotting
superstition. Then we went shopping.

No, my dear readers, if you want a holiday in the Mediterranean, my advice
is to avoid Greece. The people nowadays are too degenerate and the prices
too high. A better place by far is Bodrum in Turkey. The Turks in general
are a fine people – proud and clean and brave. Bodrum in particular is a
superb holiday resort. Within a five hour radius of the places, you have
Ephesus, Miletus, Hierapolis, Laodicea and Aphrodisias, and many other
places of note. There are golf courses, shops, watersports, bars,
restaurants, and at least two branches of the Migros supermarket. The
moderately Islamic government there has decided to squeeze the taxpayers
with high duties on drink. But cigarettes are still a pound a packet, and
the Turkish police usually leave foreign tourists alone who break the
Euro-style public smoking ban.

And the jewel of Bodrum, in my view, is the Hotel Karia Princess. Owned
and run by libertarians, this is a five star establishment, boasting a
swimming pool, gymnasium, Turkish bath and some of the best cuisine in the
Eastern Mediterranean: http://www.kariaprincess.com

The summer season in Bodrum can be rather oppressive, wherever you choose
to stay. But, outside the summer season, I can think of no better place to
stay than the Hotel Karia Princess. Try it out. If you haven’t been there
already – and I have stayed there four times now – you will be astonished
and delighted. My friend Mr Blake even tells me that, once his Blood of
Alexandria has made him filthy rich, he will become a permanent guest there.

Any Other Business?

I think the Libertarian Alliance is holding a Christmas reception in
December. Stand by for announcements on this. I shall be speaking to some
undergraduates at Warwick University on the 19th November. My subject will
be something like “Libertarianism: Left or Right?” I plan, between now and
Christmas, to convert twenty audio tapes of interviews that Chris Tame
conducted with Ralph Harris and Arthur Seldon and upload these to the Web.
I will give much moral support to Mr Blake while he works on The Sword of
Damascus, which is a long novel about weapons of mass destruction during
the early wars between Byzantium and the Caliphate. Like everything else
he writes, this will all be in the best possible taste.

Oh – and is there anyone out there who has a socket 775 quad core
processor he no longer wants? Donate this to me, and Mr Blake will send
you an autographed copy of his Terror of Constantinople. You may recall
that this received a most flattering review in The Daily Telegraph:

Dear All,

I've just returned from a quick shamble to the Post Office with another
bag of books. In Sainsbury, I skimmed all the newspapers. I found this in
"The Daily Mail":

http://tinyurl.com/yld9msm

It's an article by Melanie Phillips and it titled "We were fools to think
the fall of the Berlin Wall had killed off the far Left. They're back -
and attacking us from within". The key paragraphs are:

"Soviet Communism was a belief system whose goal was to overturn the
structures of society through the control of economic and political life.
This mutated into a post-communist ideology of the Left, whose no-less
ambitious aim was to overturn western society through a subversive
transformation of its culture....

"But as communism slowly crumbled, those on the far-Left who remained
hostile towards western civilisation found another way to realise their
goal of bringing it down.

"This was what might be called 'cultural Marxism'. It was based on the
understanding that what holds a society together are the pillars of its
culture: the structures and institutions of education, family, law, media
and religion. Transform the principles that these embody and you can thus
destroy the society they have shaped.

"This key insight was developed in particular by an Italian Marxist
philosopher called Antonio Gramsci. His thinking was taken up by Sixties
radicals - who are, of course, the generation that holds power in the
West today.

"Gramsci understood that the working class would never rise up to seize
the levers of 'production, distribution and exchange' as communism had
prophesied. Economics was not the path to revolution.

"He believed instead that society could be overthrown if the values
underpinning it could be turned into their antithesis: if its core
principles were replaced by those of groups who were considered to be
outsiders or who actively transgressed the moral codes of that society.

"So he advocated a 'long march through the institutions' to capture the
citadels of the culture and turn them into a collective fifth column,
undermining from within and turning all the core values of society
upside-down and inside-out."

It's a good article and is worth reading in full. I mention it, however,
because Mrs Phillips might have been quoting from my book "Cutlural
Revolution, Culture War" (http://tinyurl.com/34e2o3). Indeed, I know that
someone bought 50 copies of this two years ago and set them out to various
opinion formers among whom was Mrs Phillips.

I don't normally boast about influence. However, I had a long conversation
yesterday with a friend who was rather depressed about the Libertarian
Alliance's lack of impact in British politics. This is my answer. I will
not claim that I am the only person putting this argument - the phrase
"cultural Marxism" shows at least as much influence on Mrs Phillips by
Paul Gottfried as by me. And there is no reason to suppose that many other
people have not been able to work this out for themselves without writing
books about it. However, I do think it reasonable to claim that I have
*helped*, since I began writing about "The Enemy Class" back in 2001, to
provide the conservative and libertarian movement in this country with a
narrative that explains what has happened in England over the past few
generations.

I shall be happier when journalists like Mrs Phillips start repeating my
solution to the problem - a stern counter-revolution in which the whole of
the activist State is shut down. But this will do for the moment.

Therefore, if you have been subscribing to the Libertarian Alliance for
the past ffew years, here is some evidence that your contributions have
not been in vain.

Best wishes,

Sean

GLOBAL ECONOMIC CHAOS SOON TO UNFOLD

The world is entering a period of economic upheaval that has never before been
experienced in history. While many economists proclaim that the world economy
is recovering from the near global economic collapse of 2008, the reality is
that like a tsunami following an earthquake, an economic tsunami will soon
arrive following the economic earthquake of last year.

In an attempt to prevent the global economic system from collapsing, the
printing of currency by central banks around the world has been like pouring oil
on an out of control fire. Injecting so much liquidity into the world's banking
system may have temporally prevented a global economic collapse last year, but
it has failed to correct the fundamental problems that caused the crisis in the
first place. Rather, central banks have just created the environment for a
global economic collapse on a scale the world has never experienced. They have
created the perfect economic storm.

As a result of injecting trillions of dollars into the world's banking system,
this newly created fiat money is now beginning to flow into the global economy.
There is a general feeling that the recession is over and that the good times
will soon be here again. This false sense of optimism is based on the
assumption that the banking system once again lending to consumers financing
their consumption lifestyles, will jump start a new era of prosperity. Many
advanced nations have taken that it is their right to exploit the planet's
resources to maintain their living standards. Yet nothing has been done to
correct the fiscal problems that caused to economic crisis in the first place.

The stage is now set for hyperinflation. According to investor Marc Faber in a
recent Bloomberg interview, the US will experience inflation rates similar to
those which took place in Zimbabwe rising to 231 million percent in July.
Inflation at this level means the currency will become worthless, as Germany
experienced in 1923 during the economic chaos of the Weimar Republic. Just as
Germany experienced at that time, the current, impending economic disaster will
bring great hardship to those people on fixed incomes, and to the nation as a
whole.

The economic crisis of 2008 was primarily caused by excessive credit in the
global banking system, and the large current account and budget deficits of the
English speaking world, especially for the USA and UK. Large surpluses in US
dollars used to pay for consumer goods from Asia were recycled back into the US
and British banks; encouraging them to create new financial products to develop
consumer markets to recycle money. This has resulted in an unsustainable
property boom, encouraging extravagant consumer spending habits, and debt. This
has enabled the banks to enslave the people of the Anglo-Saxon nations in
bondage under a mountain of debt, earning for themselves excessive profits and
bonuses on the money lent by foreign investors. Due to very lax lending rules,
it was inevitable that eventually the inability of many bank customers to repay
their loans emerged as one of the key causes of the current crisis.

Central banks injecting money into the their domestic banks may have saved the
banking system from a total melt-down last year, but this capital injection has
not corrected the cause of the original problem. The Anglo-Saxon nations'
growing current account and budget deficits continue to mount, and they depend
on the inflow of Asian capital to finance these deficits. Their budget deficits
have blown out of control following the bail-outs and can only be financed
through printing even more fiat money or borrowing at ever increasing interest
rates. The stage has been set for the dramatic and sudden collapse of the
English-speaking nations.

America's creditors have become increasingly alarmed about the sustainability of
the U.S. being able to finance its budget and current account deficits. There
is now discussion amongst world financial leaders of replacing the US dollar as
the world's reserve currency with a basket of currencies, to finance
international trade. However this is unlikely to be effective as it will mean
the establishment of an organisation such as the IMF which would also have the
power to regulate the member countries' money supply. Nations will be unlikely
to give up their national sovereignty to allow this to happen.

We are now seeing the downward spiral in the value of the U.S. dollar against
the Euro and some other currencies. The dollar will continue to fall in value
unless the USA can correct its current account and budget deficits. There is
little chance of this happening with rising oil prices, the maintenance of an
unaffordable global military establishment bogged down with unwinnable wars, and
the large amount of money required to support the economy collapsing last year.
The Federal Reserve may soon be forced to increase interest rates in an attempt
to support the dollar, but this will only bring about more corporate collapses,
defaults on home mortgages, and a lack of confidence in the US economy. Either
way the US cannot save its economy from collapse.

The collapse of the $US will trigger economic turmoil around the world. Those
nations with reserves in US dollars will suffer massive losses as their foreign
reserves are wiped out with the collapse of the dollar. In particular this will
have a major impact on China and Japan, as both nations have large holdings in
US dollar reserves not to mention massive holdings in Treasury Certificates and
other Federal Vouchers. The losses the Asian economies will suffer will bring
wide-spread economic depression in Asia. These nations will blame the
Anglo-Saxon nations for their plight, and for good reason. Japan, already
burden with a national debt almost the same size at that of America could well
face bankruptcy along with other heavily indebted nations in the region.

There is only one economic region that will withstand the fall-out of the
economic collapse of the Anglo-Saxon nations, and that is the EU. In spite of
many skeptics predicting that the Euro would not survive as a single currency,
it has proved to have been remarkably successful. The model adopted by the Euro
zone nations can also be adopted globally, creating a single world currency. The
European Central Bank which imposes financial disciplines on the member states
of the Euro zone, has created fiscal stability in the region. While
unemployment has increased in the EU following the crisis, member states are
making adjustments to the management of their economies to lay the foundations
for solid economic growth in the future. This will eventually be a stimulus to
world trade, stop currency speculation and restore global prosperity. It would
remove tariff barriers, trade protectionism, and stimulate world trade between
Asia and Europe.

The recent acceptance by the EU member states of the Treaty of Lisbon will
enable the EU to have a single President, Foreign Minister and defense policy.
The actual shape of this new Europe is yet to take place, but no doubt the
sudden economic collapse of the Anglo-Saxon nations will trigger off a political
and economic crisis in Europe, to where the Europeans will be willing to accept
a single strong leader to restore economic prosperity and social order, even if
it means giving up some individual freedoms.

The outcome of this chaos will result in the end of democracy, and free market
Anglo-Saxon capitalism. A desperate world will be willing to give up many
individual freedoms to support a strong leader in order to have prosperity and
economic order. The international banking system will become strictly regulated
- no longer will bankers be able to enrich themselves at the expense of savers.
New technology will enable a global central bank to control the currency supply,
and implement controls to prevent taxation avoidance, money laundering, and
unfair balance of trade deficits.

Such a new world order can only be brought about by a strong European leader
with dictatorial powers that would allow him or her to have the authority to
bring about the controls to reform the global economy and restore prosperity to
the world. This leader will be looked upon as the savior of the world's
economy, and will be given the power to not only regulate the global economy,
but also the way people live and trade.

The coming collapse of the Anglo-Saxon nations will see their people soon slide
into total poverty - there money will be worthless, their people facing
starvation, diseases, and internal conflict. They will receive little sympathy
or support from the rest of the world. These nations will enter a period of
total collapse, and their skilled workers used to provide the labor force for
advanced nations in Europe and Asia requiring skilled workers to maintain their
aging populations.

The stage is now set for these events to unfold quickly and suddenly. It will
catch many by surprise to see the dollar and British pound collapse and loose or
value - once creditor's loose confidence in these currencies there will be panic
selling, hyper-inflation and economic collapse. It will create a new world
economic order where the world will prosper under the authority of this new
global leader, with the exception of the Anglo-Saxon nations. It will be the
end result of a perfect economic tsunami brought on by the self-destructive,
thunderous collapse of Anglo-American capitalistic greed.

Are the Russians Coming?
Brief Thoughts on the Climate Change Scandal
By Sean Gabb

Like many other people in our movement, I have been delighted by the
publication of that computer archive from the Climate Research Unit at
the University of East Anglia. I have spent most of my life denouncing
every excuse for state activism as a pack of lies. I have never yet had
the joy of seeing the projectors of those lies revealed as little more
than pantomime villains – twirling their moustaches while confessing
their villainy in whispered asides. Compared with this, the “weapons of
mass destruction” lies were misunderstanding in good faith.

But the question uppermost in my mind at present is what all this will
mean for the climate change cult. Will this be a more complete moral and
intellectual collapse than Communism ever suffered? To begin my answer, I
will discuss the subsidiary questions of who and why.

In short, I believe the Russians are behind this. It may be that all
those megabytes of data were stolen by a computer hacker. There may be
any number of people who are up to such hacking in the technical sense.
But this seems to have been an integrated operation. Having the technical
skills to get access to a computer archive is not the same as knowing
where to look in that archive and what to look for. Nor is it the same as
knowing what to do with it.

But the Russians had means and opportunity to do the job. Perhaps their
security services are no longer as efficient and as well-funded as in
Soviet times. But they are still there. Their mission is no longer to win
the Cold War. But making life easier for Mr Putin and his friends is a
large mission in itself. They no longer have an active network in British
universities. But there must be any number of senior managers there whose
activities back in the 1980s would merit an outing in The Daily Mail, and
who therefore are open to blackmail.

And the Russians had the best motive imaginable. Anthropogenic global
warming is, as said, a pack of lies. But there is huge money behind it.
And it is conceivable that Western scientific ingenuity will find a
“carbon free” energy source that both works and is economically viable.
Now, where would that leave Russia? Without its exports of oil and gas,
the place is little more than a bankrupt post-Soviet slagheap. I believe
the Russian state budget only balances on a minimum oil price of $40 a
barrel. Knock the bottom out of the market in fossil fuels, and Russia
can say goodbye to what progress it has made since 1991.

This is only a conspiracy theory. But it is interesting that the stolen
data surfaced on a Russian server. Of course, Russia is beyond the reach
of the British courts. But it is an interesting fact even so. I think
this operation has gone so smoothly that only an efficient security
service can be behind it. We can discount the Arabs and Iranians as not
being up to the job. We can also discount the big oil companies – like
the tobacco companies, they have been deterred from this sort of
operation because of all those transparency laws. That leaves us with the
Russians. They got the information. They packaged it. They have delivered
it to maximum effect.

So what will be that effect? I cannot believe that it will be to prick
the whole climate change bubble. There is too much corporate money and
too much government activity now resting on the assumption that we must
“do something” if sea levels are not to rise ten foot by next Tuesday.
The cult leaders will not hang their heads and behave like the villain at
the end of a Scooby Doo cartoon. When power and money on this scale are
involved, things like that surely do not happen.

But will they be able to live this down? I have no doubt they will try.
There will be an inquiry. Individual heads will roll. There will be the
pretence of breast beating. But the lies will continue pouring out. The
default response will be to turn up the volume of the lies to try and
drown out the truth. After a few years, the embarrassment may have been
forgotten, and discussion will have turned to how many units individuals
should be given for their “carbon passports.”

And I shall be interested to see how well this can work. How powerful is
the ideological state apparatus at imposing proven lies on the public
mind? On the one hand, the propaganda streams out of every school and
university and from every television screen in the civilised world. The
message is nearly as uniform as in Soviet Russia. On the other hand, the
weakness of the cult is that it has no message of hope and grants no
indulgence to the masses. Christianity and Islam – regardless of their
truth or falsehood – both offer an infinity of bliss for doing little
more than good sense requires. Christians have to be a little more
continent than nature seems to allow. Moslems have to keep off the
bottle. There is no good news for believers in anthropogenic global
warming. We are told to accept the rolling back of the industrial
revolution simply to avoid catastrophe that hardly anyone dares tell us
will strike within the reasonable future.

We know that the most notable preachers of this message have no intention
of cutting back on their own living standards. Look at the Prince of
Wales and his private jets. Look at Al Gore and his inflated utility
bills. Add to this that the cult is not formally based on an
extra-rational revelation, but on alleged scientific evidence – and the
knowledge that this evidence has been fakes must count for something.

What I predict will happen is that the propaganda will continue for the
next few years. But it will be gradually be replaced by a new set of
justificatory lies. Global warming itself was the replacement for acid
rain pollution, ozone holes, and even global cooling. In the absence of
some new environmental claims, I suggest that we shall hear much more for
now on about “peak oil” – the notion that fossil fuels exist in limited
supplies and that they will run out within the next few generations.

This has the advantage of being arguably true. I know that people have
been predicting the exhaustion of oil reserves for at least a century.
But the world economy is growing fast at the moment, and may grow still
faster. There must be some physical limit to how much oil and gas and
coal can be economically extracted. Otherwise, there is the problem that
the cheapest supplies are in unstable parts of the world. Doubtless, the
specific claims made will be lies. But they will not require the same
barefaced dishonesty as ignoring the historical and geological facts
about temperatures and carbon dioxide levels, and ignoring all
considerations of solar activity and other natural phenomena.

The other advantage, however, is that the peak oil hypothesis can be used
to justify every tax and regulation so far made in the name of fighting
climate change. Wind turbine construction, energy efficiency laws, the
war on private motoring, bleats about “food miles”, and the like – all
work just as well on the assumption that fossil fuels must be conserved.

This is a depressing prediction, so far as it allows the same caravan of
liars to roll forward if on different wheels. But I am not sure if the
transition will be as smooth as may be hoped. Liars who have been so
visibly caught out in one set of claims may not find it easy to switch to
another and maintain their full credibility. Until a few weeks ago, I saw
the anthropogenic global warming claims as a new legitimising ideology
for despotism as powerful in modern circumstances as state socialism had
once been. Perhaps it has now been revealed as a fairly short-lived
rescue hypothesis. It may not have anything like the long term appeal of
state socialism. Whatever replaces it may be weaker still.

If this is the case, I for one will give thanks to Mr Putin. In the old
days, he was a KGB officer. Nothing he may now have done can bring back
all the people he helped murder. But repentance is always to be welcomed
– especially when attended by so many good works.

"SCRAP ALL DRINK DRIVING LAWS", SAYS FREE MARKET AND CIVIL LIBERTIES THINK
TANK

The Libertarian Alliance, the radical free market and civil liberties
think tank and pressure group, today calls on the British Government to
repeal all laws against drinking and driving. Drivers should be free to
drink as much alcohol as they like before and while driving. The Police
should be allowed to intervene only if a driver appears from his actions
to be a danger to other road users, or if he causes an accident.

Dr Sean Gabb, Director of the Libertarian Alliance, comments:

"The current law on drinking and driving is a prior restraint law. It can
only be enforced by indiscriminate stops and searches. Most of the drivers
stopped are not driving erratically and do not test positive. This is a
breach of the Common Law prohibition of searches and seizures, except by
judicial warrant and on evidence of some specific criminal behaviour.

"Moreover, every officer assigned to looking for drivers over the limit is
one officer fewer to catch real criminals. This is specially the case at
Christmas, which has lately become carnival a time for burglars and
muggers. There are fewer officers around to deter them, and fewer to go
looking for them after the event.

"Much of the propaganda against drinking and driving has nothing to do
with reducing injuries to life and property, and everything to do with
making it harder to enjoy a drink in good company.

"If we want to reduce the number of deaths on the roads, drinking and
driving should not in itself be a crime. It should be possible for a
person to drink a bottle of whisky, get into a car and drive away - and
the authorities should have no power to stop this.

"Punishment should only come if a driver is so erratic that he is plainly
dangerous - or if an accident is caused. But it should then in this latter
case be very severe punishment.

"In general, we believe in real punishments for real crimes. Unless a real
crime can be shown, we believe in telling the police to mind their own
business."

I am pleased to inform you that Mr Blake has a novel out in paperback in
January. I will tell you more about this nearer the time. He has another
new novel coming out in June 2010. I have seen the page proofs, and it
seems to half as long as War and Peace. I assure you, however, that it is
a sensitive exploration of land reform and mass-murder in late Byzantine
Egypt. About a third of yet another novel is already finished. This will
be about the use of Greek Fire to keep the Arabs from taking
Constantinople in 678.

On Mr Blake's behalf, let me say that every libertarian and conservative

his royalty cheques fall below a certain sum, he is filled with self

Continuing on the same matter, is there anyone out there who knows a film

"BAN ON ISLAM4UK: A DEFEAT FOR FREEDOM OF SPEECH," SAYS FREE MARKET AND
CIVIL LIBERTIES THINK TANK

The Libertarian Alliance, the radical free market and civil liberties
institute, today condemns the banning of the radical group Islam4UK as a
violation of the right to freedom of speech. [Under the Terrorism Act
2000, a group can be banned if it "commits or participates in acts of
terrorism, prepares for, promotes or encourages terrorism or is otherwise
concerned in terrorism". Islam4UK disagrees with the Western occupation of
Afghanistan, and has made its opposition plain. The banning order will
come into effect on Thursday and wil make it a criminal offence to be a
member, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.]

Speaking today in London, Dr Sean Gabb, Director of the Libertarian
Alliance, comments:

"The rights to freedom of speech and association are fundamental to a free
society. So far as these rights are diminished, that society becomes less
free. I was born in a country where these rights had been enjoyed for
centuries. I have reached middle age in a politically correct police state
where the Government is now trying to criminalise dissent.

"We do not agree that British soldiers in Afghanistan are rapists and
murderers. We were offended by the decision of Islam4UK to say this in a
march. We certainly would not welcome the transformation of this country
into an Islamic state, which is desired by Islam4UK. However, the group
has not attacked life or property within the United Kingdom, nor has it
recommended attacks on the life or property of any identifiable British
individual. This makes the group a victim of oppression by the British
State.

"Just because we may disagree with or be offended by certain views does
not give us the right to suppress those views. We support the right of
Islam4UK to oppose the war in Afghanistan and to argue for an Islamic
takeover of the United Kingdom. In the same way, we support the right of
others to argue that Moslems should have no right to live in the United
Kingdom. The Libertarian Alliance believes in equal liberty for all to
speak their minds. Free speech that does not include the right to give
offence is not free speech. It is the political equivalent of
decaffeinated coffee.

"If people are upset by what they read or hear, let them ignore it or
argue against it. There is no place in such debates for the Thought Police."

The Libertarian Alliance believes:

* That the Race Relations Act 1976 should be repealed;
* That the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 should be repealed;
* That, pending repeal, the Race Regulations subsequent to these Acts
should be withdrawn;
* That those sections of the Public Order Act 1986 dealing with speech and
publication should be repealed;
* That those sections of the Criminal Justice Act 1998 dealing with
"racial aggravation" of offences should be repealed;
* That the Commission for Racial Equality and all similar organisations
should be abolished, and their records burned;
* That the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 should be repealed;
* That all the Terrorist Acts should be repealed;
* That all those convicted of thought crimes under the above laws should
be pardoned and, where appropriate, compensated;
* That the Human Rights Act 1998 should be amended to protect the right of
people to say anything they like about public issues, and to associate or
not associate as they please.

"ALCOHOL CONTROL: BETTER ENGLAND FREE THAN ENGLAND SOBER," SAYS FREE
MARKET AND CIVIL LIBERTIES THINK TANK

The Libertarian Alliance, the radical free market and civil liberties
institute, today condemns proposals to make it harder for poor people to
buy alcohol. The proposals include higher taxes, compulsory minimum prices
for drink, further controls on advertising, and power to close down
retailers. The only disagreement between the three main parities is how
far they wish to go.

Speaking today in London, Dr Sean Gabb, Director of the Libertarian
Alliance, comments:

"These measures, if adopted, amount to an attack on the poor. The ruling
class politicians who continually whine about alcohol will not be affected
by minimum pricing or the abolition of special offers. I might add that
none of them can be affected by such laws. Income aside, anyone who lies
his way into Parliament can look forward to round the clock drinking in
the Palace of Westminster of untaxed alcohol.

"But the measures will hurt poor people, for whom alcohol will become
cripplingly expensive and hard to find. They have the same right to drink
as the rest of us. Bearing in mind the problems willed on them by our
exploitative ruling class, they often have a greater need to drink.

"The claim that drinking 'causes' public disorder is nonsense. Alcohol
does not run about the streets. People do. If people are making nuisances
of themselves, the police should be instructed to stop behaving like New
Labour's equivalent of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and to start
protecting life and property again.

"The claim that drinking makes people unhealthy is irrelevant, where not a
lie. People must be regarded as responsible for their own mistakes. Anyone
who bleats about increased cost to the National Health Service should
consider that drinkers already pay more in taxes than the alleged cost of
treating their specific illnesses.

"We oppose all controls on the availability of alcohol to adults. Better
England free than England sober."

The Libertarian Alliance believes:

* That all the licensing laws should be repealed;
* That all controls on the marketing of alcohol should be repealed;
* That alcohol taxes should be reduced to the same level as the lowest in
the European Union, and that there should be no increase in other taxes;
* That not a penny of the taxpayers' money should be given to any
organisation arguing against the above.

FOR LIFE, LIBERTY AND PROPERTY

“At all times sincere friends of freedom have been rare, and its triumphs
have been due to minorities, that have prevailed by associating themselves
with auxiliaries whose objects often differed from their own; and this
association, which is always dangerous, has sometimes been disastrous, by
giving to opponents just grounds of opposition.”

Lord Acton, cited by F.A. Hayek1

INTRODUCTION: THE COLD WAR ALLIANCE

An informal alliance between conservatives and libertarians, especially in
the United Kingdom, can be said to have started with Winston Churchill’s
Iron Curtain speech in March 1946, and ended with the abolition of the
Federation of Conservative Students in 1986 because of its take over by
libertarian activists and the collapse of the Soviet Empire in 1989 to
1991. The abolition of the FCS marked the moment when the Thatcherite
part of the Conservative Party preferred to abort its own intellectual
future, rather than continue what had been a fairly successful alliance
against the idea of big government, at home and abroad.

The alliance, as often in history, was based on the perception of a common
external enemy, Soviet imperialism, as well as the internal threat of
socialist economic policies of nationalization and central planning.
There was also the sense in the United Kingdom at least, that the social
engineering experiment of the welfare state was an assault on freedom,
whether liberty was valued for being ancient and traditional, or for being
the expression of individual freedom of self-actualisation.

There was some disagreement on what to do about the Cold War. The British
Conservatives were often more opposed to the North Atlantic Treaty
Organisation because of the subservient position that the UK was placed in
relation to the United States of America. British libertarians, in stark
contrast with most of their US counterparts, tended to be more favourable
to fighting a global crusade against communism.

On the welfare state, conservative paternalism was reluctant to “abandon”
the poor to their own initiative. Chris R Tame, the Libertarian
Alliance’s founder put the conservative view of libertarianism thus:

“The average classical-liberal sympathising conservative puts our ideology
in a liberty versus order straightjacket, where freedom is seen to be
achieved at a cost in social order and security, and where those values
can only be achieved at the price of liberty. This is a typically
conservative viewpoint in which freedom and order are in tension with one
another, and the remedy for social chaos is the state.” 2

In the USA, the experiences of isolationism, the Pearl Harbor attack of
December 7th 1941 and the Vietnam War exerted diverging pressures on any
libertarian/conservative alliance on foreign policy. However, a coalition
of what two British commentators termed “Sun Belt conservatism” and a
religious opposition to the secularist/welfarist “liberalism” from the
1930s’ New Deal to the 1960s’ Great Society, gathered pace from the
dynamic but electorally unsuccessful 1964 Barry Goldwater campaign, to
what became known as “The Right Nation.”3

GOD, THE ENLIGHTENMENT AND HOBBES: IS THERE COMMON GROUND FOR LIBERTARIANS
AND CONSERVATIVES?

The modern libertarian movement is a fusion of several historic
intellectual traditions, with a style that generally embraces human
progress and the liberating aspects of technology. Traditionally,
conservatism could be seen as the long struggle against the enlightenment,
taking a sceptical view of human nature which is either explained in terms
of Original Sin or a distrust of rationalism. Dr Tame, in an interview
with the current LA President, Tim Evans, expressed the optimism of the
libertarian position as: “We’re extreme rationalists… Death and Taxes,
we’re against BOTH of them!”4 The libertarian tends to oppose God’s plan,
sees the Enlightenment and its economic outcome—the Industrial
Revolution—as the most tremendous liberating force in 2,000 years, and
flatly rejects Thomas Hobbes’ scepticism about what free individuals will
get up to without a night-watchman state to keep them in line.

Roger Scruton, formerly the editor of the Salisbury Review and Professor
of Philosophy at Birkbeck College, the University of London, set out the
conservative objection to the Enlightenment’s humanism in a Wall Street
Journal article in 1996, titled “Godless Conservatism.”5

Professor Scruton wrote:

“There is a growing tendency among American conservatives to blame
society’s present condition not merely on liberals but on the secular and
skeptical philosophy of the Enlightenment, from which modern liberalism
descends. As conservatives see it, the constant questioning of
established beliefs and authorities has set us upon a path that has
anarchy as its only destination. Many conservatives therefore suggest
that we must repudiate the Enlightenment and reaffirm the thing against
which the Enlightenment stood: organized religion.”

He added:

“it is not hard to sympathize. Religious belief fills our world with an
authority that cannot be questioned and from which all our duties flow.
Yet there is something despondent in the search for a religious solution
to the problems of secular society. All too often the search is conducted
in a spirit of despair by people who are as infected by the surrounding
nihilism as those whose behavior they wish to rectify. Their message is
simple: ‘God is dead—but don’t spread it around.’ Such words can be
whispered among friends but not broadcast to the multitude.”6

Professor Scruton and Dr Tame would have agreed on almost every issue of
significance during the 1970s and 1980s: the economy, the harm caused by
socialism, the Cold War, the “battle of ideas,” yet the philosophical
underpinning of their positions was almost entirely opposite. This would
not matter so long as the target for their attention was the same and the
solution, if only by coincidence, was broadly the same: to support the
underground civil society of Soviet colonies, to oppose socialism
performed by Conservative politicians, the importance of the statement of
ideas and their debate.

Yet as with such coalition projects as the French Revolution, harmonious
relations would struggle to last beyond the achievement of power or the
disappearance of the common enemy. Here, one of the striking differences
between the British and US coalitions can be found. According to John
Micklethwait and Adrian Woolridge, in philosophical terms, classical
conservatism, as formulated by Edmund Burke, “might be crudely reduced to
six principles.”

These are:

a deep suspicion of the power of the state;
a preference for liberty over equality;
patriotism;
a belief in established institutions and hierarchies;
scepticism about the idea of progress; and
elitism.
Micklethwait and Woolbridge argue that:

“to simplify a little, the exceptionalism of modern American conservatism
lies in its exaggeration of the first three of Burke’s principles and
contradiction of the last three. The American Right exhibits a far deeper
hostility toward the state than any other modern conservative party. How
many European conservatives would display bumper stickers saying ‘I love
my country but I hate my government’?”7

The result is that American conservatives tend to display more openness to
human progress, making an alliance with some libertarians possible (it may
also help to explain the poor performance of the US Libertarian Party
since 1972). The American conservative movement tends to take a classical
liberal approach to Burke’s last three principles: hierarchy, pessimism
and elitism. The heroes of modern American conservatism tend to be the
same as for libertarians: rugged individualists who don’t know their place
and defer to class status, the self-made businessman, or settlers on the
Western frontier.

As Mickeltwait and Woolbridge put it:

“the geography of conservatism also helps to explain its optimism rather
than pessimism. In the war between the Dynamo and the Virgin, as Henry
Adams characterized the battle between progress and tradition, most
American conservatives are on the side of the Dynamo. They think that the
world offers all sorts of wonderful possibilities. And they feel that the
only thing that is preventing people from attaining these possibilities is
the dead liberal hand of the past.”8

A more modern representation of this cleavage can be found in the writings
of Virginia Postrel, especially her best-selling work, The Future and Its
Enemies.9 She replaces the left-right cleavage with one based on the
notions of people as either “dynamists” or “stasists.”

Sean Gabb, the Libertarian Alliance’s Director, is perhaps the best known
British advocate of “libertarian conservatism,” a body of beliefs that
consists of harking back to the days when a British subject could spend
virtually his or her entire life with no contact with government or its
services except when visiting a Post Office. Although he did not use the
term in his 1974 book, The Offshore Islanders,10 Paul Johnson remarked
that English history can be seen as a succession of conservative
revolutions, largely attempting to restore ancient liberties, in marked
contrast with the French Revolution of 1789 for example, which aimed to
create a new order, to the point of creating a decimal calendar with
10-day weeks and 10-hour days with new names for the months.11 The
contrast between the ancient liberties of Englishmen (a near approximation
of the libertarian ideal) is defended in the name of both its liberalism
and its rooting in history.

One example of how these forces are fused in Dr Gabb’s activism has been
the 15-year campaign against national identity cards, which has in no way
been deflected according to which political party (Conservative or Labour)
has held office in the UK.12

Dr Gabb wrote:

“I believe, however, that there is more to ‘rolling back the frontiers of
the State’ than paying regard to economic indicators alone. It is not
enough to control the money supply and deregulate the unemployed back into
work. It is necessary to roll back the frontiers in social and political
matters as well. My ideal England—the England that largely existed before
1914—is one in which individuals and groups of individuals are free to
pursue their ends, constrained only by a minimal framework of laws.”

“I have no doubt that an identity card scheme would be absolutely fatal to
the realising of this ideal—even the ‘voluntary’ scheme that Mr [Michael]
Howard proposes for the moment. It would undermine the half-open society
in which we now live. Given the technology that will soon be available,
it would allow the erection of the most complete despotism that ever
existed in these islands. I am astonished that such a scheme could be put
forward by a government that dares call itself Conservative. It is a
betrayal not merely of the libertarian and classical liberal wings of the
Party, but also of the most reactionary High Toryism. I will not argue
whether this is socialism by other means. But it is undoubtedly
collectivist.”

The problem appears to be that there is a type of modern Conservative who
really does not believe in God, natural rights, the virtue of ancient
customs, or spontaneous order. I came across this position in 2002, in a
series of discussions on-line with Peter Cuthbertson, who at least has the
credit of being one the very early pioneers of conservative blogging in
the UK. One could argue that this was a continuation of the debate
between a Lockean and a Hobbesian in the 17th century. Under the title
‘Is there an Act of Parliament for Table Manners?’13 I wrote:

“I don’t normally respond publicly to comments, but I will make an
exception. Peter Cutbertson has a blog called Conservative Commentary, it
is certainly better than the Conservative Party’s website. He thinks that
this conclusion I made makes me insane:

‘The problem for British libertarians is that they aren’t really used to
the idea that the state really is our enemy. This is one reason why I
don’t think that the UK withdrawing from the European Union is an
automatic recipe for joy.’

In the exchange which follows he appears to believe that ‘without law or
government’ society cannot function, and those who disagree with him are
‘insane’ or follow ‘an incoherent, warped political philosophy’.”

I continued

“However, it amazes me that Mr Cuthbertson cannot see that law doesn’t
necessarily derive from government. For a start, any conservative who
believes in God ought to consider the possibility that there is a higher
authority than the State. Assuming atheism (which isn’t very
conservative, but hey, who’s being coherent?), I should have hoped that a
conservative might believe in the organic, spontaneous order of common
law. Assuming God doesn’t exist, and the common law is a fiction (sounds
more like a French Jacobin!), what has Mr Cuthbertson done with civil
society? Is it true that members of the Carlton Club only behave because
of the fear of being arrested by the police? Does the members’ code of
conduct depend on the State for its existence and enforcement? Is there
an Act of Parliament for table manners?”

TRIBAL POLITICS: IS THERE COMMON GROUND FOR LIBERTARIANS OR CONSERVATIVES?

In presenting the major philosophical differences between conservatism and
libertarianism, I am conscious of one potential fallacy to the negative
prognosis: a marriage doesn’t have to be perfect to be successful. Within
each of the tribes, conservative and libertarian, there are numerous
differences of opinion, often underpinned by a complete opposite
fundamental principle.

There is the obvious problem of abortion. To one school of libertarian,
the woman’s right to choose is absolute and rooted in the idea of
self-ownership of our bodies. Surely no one could argue against that!
But other libertarians argue that there is a point at which a foetus is
more than merely a type of cancer tumour, to be charged rent or evicted.
They may root their argument in the concept of a natural right to life
from the moment or conception, or 10 weeks, or 20 weeks of pregnancy. If
it is wrong to kill someone who is in a temporary coma, or remove their
organs without consent, and also wrong to do the same to a mute or a child
who has not yet developed speech, why is it acceptable for a being that
has some degree of consciousness and would surely develop all the human
attributes of sentience and free will?

Another issue is the transitional state. Even if all libertarians were
anarchists, and many are not, what of the national debt? Should it be
defaulted in full at once? Should government promises of pensions be
treated as the promises of extortionists and therefore have no contractual
force? Are Bank of England notes to be rejected in the Libertarian Year
Zero? Or collaborators with the “bureaucrato-feudalist régime”shot?

One starts doubting whether one can even properly speak of a libertarian
position, given the multitude of factions (which have a tendency to
denounce each other as “deviant” in a not always deliberate self-parody of
the Popular Judean Front of Monty Python’s Life of Brian). However, it
should be noted that the same cleavages exist in any ideological school,
whether it be socialism, conservatism or liberalism, so it would be wrong
to worry too much about libertarianism’s diverse origins and blueprints
for a good society.

Conservatism can mean the support of a theocratic society, the restoration
of absolutist monarchy, opposition to post-Leninist reforms in the Soviet
Union, support for the use of tanks against student protestors, opposition
to homosexuality, the support for free trade, protectionism, the abolition
of drug prohibition or its resolute enforcement. Conservatives are split
on abortion, taxes, the National Health Service and whether London should
have got the 2012 Olympic Games.

CONCLUSIONS

Libertarians and conservatives have many vehement (not violent)
disagreements and it is fair to say that each side’s vision of heaven on
Earth could be considered hellish to the other. Yet within each tribe,
there are people who have as much in common with each other as with their
own tribes. One thinks of prostitution, abortion and the death penalty,
to name just three examples.

Because both a conservative and a libertarian have a degree of scepticism
about the power of the State “to make things right,” it is very likely
that opportunities for defensive joint action will emerge from time to
time. Conservatives will tend to see their role as reigning in the
enthusiasm of libertarians for technology as a liberating force for
humanity. Libertarians will see their role as giving the conservatives a
kick up the backside for their passive acceptance of inevitable defeat.

However, it is probably worth keeping in mind the words of Lord Acton,
concerning the challenge of ideological alliances which opened this essay:

“At all times sincere friends of freedom have been rare, and its triumphs
have been due to minorities, that have prevailed by associating themselves
with auxiliaries whose objects often differed from their own; and this
association, which is always dangerous, has sometimes been disastrous, by
giving to opponents just grounds of opposition.”

Each party to the alliance, libertarian and conservative, regards the
other as a sometimes embarrassing auxiliary.

GODS LAW as written in the 1599 GENEVA BIBLE at
<http://www.americanvision.com/bibles.aspx> says:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast refused
knowledge, I will also refuse thee that thou shall be no Priest to me: and
seeing thou hast forgotten the Law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children." Hosea 4:6

"Then Peter and the Apostles answered, and said, We ought rather to obey God
than men." Acts, 5:29

"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, ye
sinners, and purge your hearts, ye double minded." James 5:8

"No servant can serve two masters: for either he shall hate the one, and love
the other: or else he shall lean to the one, and despise the other, Ye cannot
serve God and riches." Luke 16:13

"Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the ordinances of the world, why, as
though ye lived in the world, are ye burdened with traditions?" Colossians 2:20

"As, Touch not, Taste not, Handle not." Colossians 2:21

"Which all perish with the using, and are after the commandments and doctrines
of men." Colossians 2:22

"And putting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was
contrary to us, he even took it out of the way, and fastened it upon the cross,
. . ." Colossians 2: 14.

"That we henceforth be no more children, wavering and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the deceit of men, and with crafttiness, whereby they lay
in wait to deceive." Ephesians, 4:14

"And we know, that the Law is good, if a man use it lawfully." Timothy, 1:8

"Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets. I am not come to
destroy them, but to fulfill them." Mathews 5:17

SUBJECT: ARE YOU WORRIED THE IRS IS GOING TO COME AFTER YOU????

If you are worried that the IRS is going to come after you, then worry NO
MORE!!!!

Are you being INDICTED by the IRS????

Are you about to be served with a GRAND JURY CRIMINAL INDICTMENT for either
WILLFUL FAILURE TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURNS or INCOME TAX EVASION????

Are you and your friends and business partners, lawyers and accountants being
indicted for CONSPIRACY????

Do you want to beat THE IRS INDICTMENT . . . PRE-TRIAL????

Do you want to stop the IRS from INDICTING you????

Are you being hammered by IRS or STATE TAX BOARD letters????

Have you received a Notice of Deficiency????

Have you received CP-504 letters????

Have you been served with Notice of Intent to Levy letters from the IRS????

Has your employer been served with letters telling your employer to ignore your
"exempt withholding status"????

Is the IRS garnishing your paycheck????

Is the IRS garnishing your bank account????

Is the IRS garnishing your MILITARY PENSION????

Is the IRS garnishing your SOCIAL SECURITY????

Please all you don't call me and tell me that you have been studying this for a
long time and that you are NO BEGINNER at this!!!!

The fact that you have NOT been able to stop the IRS from garnishing your
paychecks, bank accounts or your military pension or your social security tells
me that . . . YES, YOU ARE A BEGINNER, THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
AND THAT WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT FOIA OR IRS LEGAL MATTERS IS 100% USELESS
PERIOD!!!!

Your choice is to HIRE AN ATTORNEY or to try to defend yourself which you are
probably not capable of doing competently which is evidenced by the fact that
you have not been able to stop the IRS from garnishing your checks or your next
choice is to tuck your tail in between your legs and get back in line with the
rest of the SHEOPLE or your other choice is to just let the IRS keep taking your
money or to HIRE ME!!!!!

Have you exhausted all your administrative appeals under 26 U.S.C. 7433 as
recommended by all the . . . AMATEUR IRS RESPONSE LETTER WRITERS????

I have created a . . . "NEW FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE" . . . that basically
allows you to ask for everything that you would normally have to wait until you
are prosecuted in either a civil or criminal action to ask for in discovery.

Why wait until you are prosecuted?

Why don't you do something now to prevent the IRS from coming after you in the
first place????

Did you know that the IRS ANNOTATED CASE LAW specifically holds that if the IRS
skips any of the administrative steps and procedures and/or violates your RIGHTS
to the DUE PROCESS OF LAW and fails to give you NOTICE & OPPORTUNITY TO DEFEND
which includes any and/or all of the NOTICES & DEMANDS for taxes or money and/or
fails to give you any of the NOTICES of your RIGHTS to a HEARING, that it voids
the whole proceeding even if you owed the taxes and that you could sue the
individual IRS agent for violating your rights under the TAX PAYER BILL OF
RIGHTS????

Lets use the 1974 Privacy Act as codified at 5 U.S.C. 552a and the Freedom of
Information Act as codified at 5 U.S.C. 552 and 26 CFR 601.701, 26 CFR 601.702
(c), 26 CFR 301.6203-1, 26 U.S.C. 6103, 26 I.R.C. 6103, IRS Policy Statement
P-6-13, Section 2 of 31 CFR Part 1, Appendix B of Subpart C, 31 CFR Part 1,
Subt. C. Appx B Para. (d) and ask for all the documents, demands for money,
notices of your rights to a hearing before, during and after the IRS files any
kind of a lien on you and specifically ask for certified copies of all the
"proofs of service" that was made on by you in person by a live warm body or a
certified copy of the "certified registered mail receipt" that was sent to your
last know address and then at the end of each FOIA REQUEST, let's demand an
administrative hearing pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 556 (e) and demand that the IRS
correct it's records NOW, BEFORE THEY JUST MOVE FORWARD AND STEAM ROLL RIGHT
OVER YOU!

At the end of each FOIA, let's ask them for the ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING that we
are entitled to under 5 U.S.C. 556 (e) that they are required to give us BEFORE
they can invoke judicial process and come after us in either a civil or criminal
action.

There are other "amateur & beginner patriots" and "tax honesty groups" and
"individual patriots" who use FOIA and 26 U.S.C. 7433 with some minor success,
but there are other much better remedies under other statutes, which I cannot
reveal until after you have sent me a consulting fee to review your case and
then hire me to custom tailer a FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE to fit your
individual needs!

* * *

This NEW FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE has 3 main purposes:

1.) To ward off a potential future criminal and/or civil prosecution!

2.) If it's too late and you are already being prosecuted, then you need to set
up this FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE . . . ANYTIME PRIOR TO YOUR TRIAL DATE!!!!

3.) TO HELP SET UP YOUR CASE FOR A PRE-TRIAL DISMISSAL!!!!

* * *

IF the IRS ever comes after you in either a civil or criminal prosecution for
willful failure to file income tax returns and/or income tax evasion, after
purchasing my NEW FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE, then you could HIRE ME to
write a PRE-TRIAL MOTION TO DISMISS on the grounds that the IRS FAILED TO
EXHAUST ALL THEIR ADMINISTRATIVE REMEDIES.

This "NEW FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE" also helps set up the IRS for a future
lawsuit or complaint that we can file under 5 U.S.C. 702 or 5 U.S.C. 556 (e)
and/or we can demand that the Secretary remove the NOFTL if the IRS skipped any
of the administrative steps or filed their lien prematurely pursuant to or 26
U.S.C. 6323 or 26 U.S.C. 6325.

Did you know that we can sue the INDIVIDUAL IRS AGENT for violating your rights
pursuant to THE TAX PAYER BILL OF RIGHTS????

IF the IRS is already GARNISHING your PAYCHECKS, then I can also separately
write a MEMORANDUM OF LAW showing your EMPLOYER that under STATE LAW that he or
she cannot lawfully withhold any money from your paycheck unless authorized by
STATE or FEDERAL LAW which the IRS does NOT cite in any notices or letters that
they send your employer????

The IRS routinely just makes a phone call to your employer and "threatens" the
employer over the phone that they will take the money out of his account if your
employer fails to withhold and turn over your money to the IRS.

Did you know that both STATE STATUTES and FEDERAL STATUTES both clearly state
that STATE LAW CONTROLS ALL JUDGMENT, GARNISHMENT AND COLLECTION PROCEEDINGS????

Yes, I have discovered a series of STATE STATUTES and FEDERAL STATUTES that
specifically state that STATE LAW CONTROLS ALL JUDGMENT, ALL COLLECTION, ALL
GARNISHMENT AND ALL LIEN & LEVY PROCEDURE and all of these statutes in
combination absolutely REQUIRE that the IRS must have 1st obtained a CERTIFIED
COPY of their JUDGEMENT and REGISTER it in a SUPERIOR COURT or COURT OF GENERAL
JURISDICTION and/or a COURT OF APPELLATE JURISDICTION in your State or "within"
your STATE!!!!

Were you aware that the IRS cannot garnish MILITARY PAY????

I can stop the IRS from garnishing your MILITARY PENSION!!!!

Did you know that you could sue the individual IRS agents for illegally
garnishing your MILITARY PENSION????

Did you know that there are criminal penalties that you could charge the
individual IRS agents for illegally garnishing your MILITARY RETIREMENT PAY????

Were you aware that the IRS cannot garnish more than 15% of your SOCIAL
SECURITY????

I can stop the IRS from garnishing any money from your SOCIAL SECURITY in most
instances or cut it down to a minimum of 15% in other cases!!!!

Did you know that you could sue your employer for up to TRIPLE DAMAGES under
STATE LAW if your employer continues to withhold any MONEY from your PAYCHECK
after you have demanded in writing that they stop withholding any money from
your paychecks, unless your employer can show you that the IRS has a CERTIFIED
COPY and prove that the IRS REGISTERED A JUDGEMENT in a State Superior Court
"within" your State????

This means that your EMPLOYER could end up paying all your taxes even if you
really owed the taxes!!!!

Plus, once we can prove that the individual IRS agent violated your rights by
engaging in illegal collection activities, we can sue that individual agent
later in the proceedings!

I must FIRST review ALL of your PAPERWORK before and prior to giving you a price
quote or estimate of how much I will charge you to do anything for you!

I must first REVIEW ALL YOUR PAPERWORK BEFORE I can give you a PRICE QUOTE or
ESTIMATE of how much my FOIA package will cost.

IF YOU ARE BEING PROSECUTED CRIMINALLY OR ABOUT TO BE PROSECUTED CRIMINALLY, YOU
NEED MY FOIA PACKAGE, BUT FIRST YOU MUST HAVE ME REVIEW YOUR CASE, BECAUSE EVERY
FOIA PACKAGE IS DIFFERENT AND CUSTOM TAILORED FOR EACH CASE INDIVIDUALLY.
(Note: I do not sell boilerplate crap like most PATRIOT IRS LETTER WRITERS.)

If I can review your case and get your FOIA package in BEFORE they decide to
prosecute, it may stop them dead in their tracks or delay them long enough to
buy me the time I need to properly research and write Pre-Trial Motions to
Dismiss your case.

If I can review your case and get your FOIA package in BEFORE YOUR DAY OF TRIAL,
I can of your case and then set up an affirmative defense at the 11nth hour
which will allow me to write a Pre-Trial Motion to Dismiss the IRS's case for
their failure to exhaust all their administrative remedies before bringing you
to the judicial or the court for prosecution that the court will be forced to
grant and even if the court denied this motion, by getting my FOIA in prior to
the DAY OF YOUR TRIAL, I will have SET THE RECORD FOR A WIN ON APPEAL.

MY FOIA PACKAGE IS ONLY FOR SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

So if you are interested in STOPPING THE IRS BEFORE THEY COME AFTER YOU, send me
an E-MAIL requesting more information and I will send you my Consulting Fees
schedule.

I will NOT tell you what statutes, regulations, administrative procedure, court
rules or case law that I am using to stop the IRS from doing anything until
after you have paid my CONSULTING FEES TO REVIEW YOUR CASE AND THEN HIRED ME TO
CUSTOM TAILOR A FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE to fit your individual needs.

I will NOT tell you any more that what is contained in this e-mail, what my
method or procedure is to stop the IRS until after you have paid my CONSULTING
FEES IN ADVANCE.

I will NOT answer any specific legal questions until after my CONSULTING FEES IN
ADVANCE.

Do NOT write me and ask me . . . "HOW MUCH IS YOUR FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE
PACKAGE?"

I will NOT give anyone a price quotation on how much or how little my FOIA
RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE cost until after I have reviewed ALL YOUR PAPERWORK and
that won't happen until you have previously paid all of my CONSULTING FEES IN
ADVANCE.

I do NOT give FREE ESTIMATES or PRICE QUOTATIONS for any kind of a case period!

Asking me how much or how little I would charge to do any kind of a case over
the telephone is just as silly as asking me how much or how little to fix the
dent on your car over the phone when I have NOT even seen how big or how small
the dent is on your car!!!!

Writing me an E-MAIL asking me how much or how little I would charge to put
together a FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE is as silly as calling up on the phone
and asking me how much I would charge to paint or roof your house, WHEN I
HAVEN'T SEEN YOUR ROOF OR HOUSE!!!!

Every case is different and your understanding of your case and my understanding
of the law are 100% different!

Every FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE is custom tailored to fit your needs and is
different as I do NOT write boiler plates that will work for the next guy who
didn't pay me.

In fact, I specifically write things in the documents to make sure that it will
never work for the next guy to prevent theft of my private intellectual
property.

THE 1599 GENEVA BIBLE at <http://www.americanvision.com/bibles.aspx> at TIMOTHY

My FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE is for serious inquiries only!!!!

Informers and Benefit Fraud:
A Libertarian View
By Sean Gabb

I have just been sent one of the most disgusting newspaper articles I have
seen this year. It is from today’s issue of The Guardian, and describes
how the British Government is considering a scheme to reward those who
inform on benefit cheats. Astonishingly, the Ministers seem to think this
will make people more inclined to vote Labour at the next general
election. If they are right, I am not sure how much longer I want to live
in this parody of a country.

But, now I have said enough about the proposed scheme, let me explain what
I find so disgusting about it.

The first is that, while every respectable person has a duty to report
crimes against life and property, and to bear witness if required, there
is much difference between this and calling into being an army of paid
spies and police informers. Such people are not needed to report genuine
crimes. Their general use is to act as the eyes and ears of an oppressive
state. Established for one purpose, their use inevitably spreads to other
areas. There is a natural temptation for paid informers to become agents
of provocation. There is an equally natural temptation for them to become
blackmailers. The resulting culture is one in which friends drop their
voices when discussing anything in public that might be overheard to their
disadvantage – and where new acquaintances, and even old friends, are
viewed with suspicion. My wife grew up in Communist Czechoslovakia, where
all this was a fact of everyday life. It was this, far more than the
police and security services, who were responsible for a collapse of trust
between ordinary people that has outlived is cause by twenty years.

It may be argued, that unlike drugs and prostitution, benefit fraud is not
a victimless crime, but is theft from the taxpayers – but that, while they
may be expected to report burglaries, individual taxpayers have no
incentive to turn in someone who is claiming while working on the side.
This is true, but needs to be seen in perspective. No one knows how much
benefit fraud actually costs – the figure of £1 billion is believed to be
a gross underestimate. However, even if the cost were five or ten times
this figure, it would still amount to barely two per cent of total
government spending. Most of this goes on paying for services that, where
not useless, are harmful to life, liberty and property. Look, for example,
at Trevor Phillips. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman of the Commission
for Equality and Human Rights at a salary of £160,000. Doubtless, this has
since gone up. Even so, his initial salary was equal to more than 2,488
weekly payment of jobseeker’s allowance at the maximum single rate of
£64.30. In return for this, his most famous achievement to date has been
to hound the British National Party into not insisting that its members
should be white – while doing nothing to stop the various Black Police
Associations from insisting that their members should be black. As if his
published salary were not enough, Mr Phillips was revealed in 2008 to be
the majority shareholder in Equate Organisation, which offers a “discreet,
customised service” on how to handle the sort of equality issues that are
investigated by his Commission. Oh, and the man who is employed to make
then nearest things acceptable in public to puking sounds every time the
name Nick Griffin is mentioned apparently keeps a bust of Lenin on his desk.

But if more loathsome and better paid than most of the others, Mr Phillips
is just one among hundreds of thousands of New Labour apparatchiks given
our bread to eat in return for oppressing us. I have no doubt these people
collectively earn more than the £116 billion that is paid out every year
on benefits. According to the probably fake statistics that attended the
informer proposal, benefit fraud may cost every taxpayer in this country
£35 a year. Well, I for one, can live with that. Once all the excise
duties are paid, it is much less than a single tank of diesel for my car.
The New Labour State costs me upwards of half my income, plus my liberty
and my sense of nationality.

The only people who are really harmed by benefit fraud are those
committing it. They lose yet more of their self-respect. This being said,
the benefit rates are so awful that I fail to see how anyone can feed
himself and his children without some cheating. Certainly, those on public
welfare should not be able to buy cars and flat screen televisions. But
they should be able to pay their heating bills and afford Christmas
presents for their children without putting themselves into the hands of
loan sharks.

And I do not believe that this sort of benefit cheat costs me anything
approaching £35 a year. Everyone knows that the benefits system is being
systematically milked by gangs of – usually foreign – criminals. Everyone
knows that key parts of the system have recently been captured from the
inside by organised criminals. Twenty years ago, a friend mine worked
behind the counter of a Post Office in South London. He told me at the
time how workers from the local benefit office used to come round to cash
cheques they had written out to each other. I shall be most surprised if
this turns out now to be the worst manner of inside fraud. And these are
frauds that can and should be detected by ordinary policing. They do not
require the machinery of a police state.

This brings me back to the informer scheme. I cannot help mentioning that
it has been by Jim Reid, the Scottish Secretary. He is said once to have
been a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Trust a Labour
politician to have dropped all his proclaimed ends of raising up the poor
– but not the police state means these ends were supposed to justify. I
hate everyone of my generation who went into politics. Thirty years ago,
they sneered at me and people like me as “selfish” and “abhorrent”. They
spent the next twenty years insisting to each other and anyone who was
stupid enough to listen to them that, when they came into their own,
ordinary people would live in dignity and want for nothing. They have
since then matured into the worst ruling class this country has seen since
the Normans assimilated. The expenses scandal is nothing compared with how
they have governed the country in public.

Now, I suppose I should offer some positive recommendations of my own for
dealing with benefit fraud. I doubt anyone important is listening to me.
But let it be supposed that some political party were to consult me on
welfare reform – what would I suggest?

In the short term, I would set the police on catching the organised gangs
of benefit cheats. Once these were in prison or deported to their
countries of origin, much of the problem would have been solved. For the
rest, I would advise looking the other way unless some minor fraud came to
the attention of the authorities in the normal scheme of enforcement.

In the longer term, I would try to make most of the state welfare system
redundant by lifting the tax and regulatory burden that stops the poorest
people in this country from looking after themselves. And this is not –
let me say at once – some soft version of the neo-liberal gloating about
forcing welfare recipients into work by cutting their already pitiful
benefits. Though it may always exist in a free society, the wage system as
we have known it during the past few centuries is neither natural nor
desirable. It is a cleaned up version of the bottom end of the feudal
system, transmitted to industrial society via the management of domestic
servants.

Middle class people often moan about the surly attitude of the working
classes – about their unwillingness to do as they are told unless they are
banned from union membership, or unless their unions can be taken over by
middle class bureaucrats who then sell their members out. But I can think
of no middle class person who would like working class conditions of work.
I remember reading some years ago of a B&Q warehouse in Bristol. The
casual workers employed there were electronically tagged. If anyone
stopped moving for more than ten minutes, a computer shouted a message
into his earpiece to report to the management office. No one does this
sort of work unless he is desperate. No one who does it can have any
pretensions to dignity. To say people have a choice whether to work for
B&Q is a patronising joke. It is B&Q or Tesco, or some other demeaning
job. It is like saying a man has a choice of meals if the menu shoved
under his nose offers turd sandwich or snot pizza.

What I have in mind is letting poor people start their own
micro-businesses in the manner described by Kevin Carson. Let someone
start a coffee shop in the front room of his house. Let a family brew beer
and sell it. Let people open little schools to teach reading and writing.
Let them look after other people’s children. These things are currently
not permitted. Or they are prevented by taxes and regulations that raise
the fixed costs of doing business to the point where unreasonably large
revenues must be generated year after year. Some people may get rich from
doing this. Most will not. But enrichment is not the purpose. The real
purpose is to give people the ability to survive without having to rely
for all their income on salaried work.

It goes without saying that all subsidies to existing large businesses
should be cut off at once – no more transport subsidies that allow goods
to be moved about at less than full cost; no more interventions abroad to
stabilise export markets, or secure access to artificially cheap goods and
labour; no more taxes and regulations that can be carried by big business
as cartellised costs, while flattening new entrants to the market; above
all, no more limited liability laws that foster the growth of huge joint
stock enterprises that are little more than the economic wing of the
ruling class.

Where welfare is concerned, people should be enabled to join together in
free mutual societies, accepting members and offering such benefits as may
be agreeable to the relevant parties. This means no more taxes and
financial regulation, and no more money laundering laws that, again, are
little more than state cartellisation.

One of the failings of libertarianism – and I do not exempt myself from
past guilt – is that we have too often argued as if actually existing
capitalism was the free market. We may have conceded that business was too
highly taxed and regulated, and that this frequently was turned to the
advantage of the bigger firms in any market. But the assumption has too
often been that a free market is effectively Tesco minus the state – that
the wage system and big business were both natural and desirable
institutions. As said, they are neither. The state capitalism that, in the
1980s and 1990s, we called Thatcherism or Reaganism was nothing
approaching a free market. It was better than state socialism. But that is
not saying very much. It has to some extent been our fault if ordinary
people have been offered an apparent choice between a system in which a
lucky few grow gigantically rich through connections and the ability to
shuffle paper in the accepted ways, and ordinary people cannot buy houses
and have children without going head over heels into debt – and sometimes
not even then – and the present system of shadow boxing between
multinational corporations and a huge superstructure of at best intrusive
and at worst corrupt officials.

I might end by accusing the present Government of moral and intellectual
bankruptcy. But this would be to absolve the equally if differently
useless Tories. It would also be to concede that any of these people ever
had anything good to offer. They are evil. Never mind the ideals they
still sometimes ritualistically claim to guide their actions. All they
have ever had to offer is a land fit for police spies and agents of
provocation. They must all be destroyed – politically and financially.

IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES?

Having been living in the Philippines for the last couple of years some may be
interested in my reflections in living in a third world country.

The majority of the population in the country struggles to survive, with little
hope of escaping living in their poverty trap. Most Filipinos main goal in life
other than daily survival is how to escape their own country - living anywhere
in the world is perceived better than in the Philippines under the corruption
and incompetency of the current and previous administrations. Even as Filipinos
flee their country as economic refugees, the Philippine's Government propaganda
has exploited the situation by encouraging workers to work abroad to enable the
country's crumbling economy to remain afloat. The revenue from the OFWs
(Overseas Foreign Workers) sent back as remittances to support their families
living in poverty back home has become the main source of overseas exchange for
the country. The Government propaganda proclaims these OFWs as national heroes,
yet refuses to accept responsibility that it is a direct result of their
economic mismanagement that the economy has failed to generate jobs for their
own citizens. Never mind the broken homes and personal sacrifices made by OFWs
to enable their families in the Philippine's economy to survive; the Government
has turned this human trafficking to its economic advantage, relying on the
overseas remittances to provide the revenue to prop up a disintegrating society.

Since the recent global economic crisis the government has borrowed heavily from
overseas to prop up a crumbling domestic economy, with little thought how this
debt is to be repaid in the future. Sadly much of this borrowed money has ended
up further enriching the ruling elite rather than be invested in expanding the
productive sector of the country. To maintain political stability and to pay
for imported food and to keep the economy afloat, the government is now begging
and borrowing from Japan and elsewhere ever increasing amounts while revenue to
service this debt declines. Continued government borrowings to prop the
crumbling economy is seeing debt levels spiral out of control, with the
Government spending a third more than it receives in revenue. The cost of
servicing this debt is rapidly becoming unsustainable, and if international
interest rates increase as expected next year, paying the interest on the
national debt could well push the country into bankruptcy. With this the
Philippines is not unique - many other countries have adopted similar policies
following the recent global economic crisis - borrowing to support government
services as taxation revenue falls.

Philippine's President Arroyo's frequent and expensive trips abroad in an
attempt to encourage overseas investment into the Philippines has achieved
little tangible results, other than deals done to personally benefit those in
power. Some overseas interests have been able to gain long-term leases to
exploit agriculture land to produce crops for export back to their home
countries - land that should have been used to develop local agriculture to help
feed the Filipino people. The Philippines is now the largest importer of rice
in the world - it was once the rice bowl of Asia.

Many overseas companies have become reluctant to invest in the Philippines with
its dysfunctional and corrupt government, poor infrastructure, high crime rate
and uncompetitive labour compliance costs. Most international businesses are no
longer interested in investing in the Philippines because of the low returns,
high risk and restrictive foreign ownership rules. Philippines attract less
overseas investment than almost any other country in Asia. The country should be
one of the richest in Asia with an abundance of natural resources and talented
people if the economy was managed effectively. A high level of distrust and
dishonesty means business is burdened with excessive overhead and compliance
costs, even though real incomes received wage earners is low. Government
bureaucracy has stifled initiative and failed to provide worthwhile incentives
to establish new business ventures in the country. The Philippines has become a
lawless land, where the economy and society is breaking down at all levels.
Crime has become out of control.

What can the Philippines do to save itself from self-destruction?

The recently published book titled "Blighted" by former Philippine's
Solicitor-General Frank Chavez portrays the Philippines as a nation in the
depths of moral decay, corruption, lack of leadership and greed that exists
today. (Reviewed on
http://blindpass.blogspot.com/2009/11/public-service-blighted-reviewed-by..html)\
. To many Filipinos the nation has sunk to a condition of hopelessness and
despair for the majority struggling to survive in a failed dysfunctional society
where the ruling elite argue amongst themselves on who can gain control of the
country in the upcoming election to further enrich themselves. The book
highlights some of the corruption scandals that have been exposed in recent
years in the Philippines without prosecutions ever being made.

Frank Chavez quotes God's promise to Israel in 2 Chronicles 7:14. "If My people
who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and
turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin and heal their land". It is only by the return to God and His Laws
that is the only hope for the Philippines; otherwise the country will slide into
total collapse and be taken over by a foreign power.

The Philippines prides itself in being the only Christian country in Asia. The
reality is that is Christian in name only, maintaining a façade while continuing
to follow many pagan rituals that have been adopted as Christianity, rather than
practicing the teachings of Jesus. There are hundreds of different religions
found in the country, though the majority are Catholic. The Philippines claims
to be a Christian nation but keeps almost none of God's Laws. It is a morally
decadent nation - to claim it is a Christian nation is a sham.

If the Philippines were to change the way their Government is administrated and
based its laws on the Law of God, the nation would prosper. This would require
a total change at all levels of Filipino society, rejecting the pagan mythology
that is often practiced as religion today. Unlike the thousands of laws that
now exist in the Philippines (most of which are ignored by the Filipino people),
the Law of God is uncomplicated, not subject to change, and if followed would
restore social justice, prosperity and peace to the nation. The Ten
Commandments is the foundation law for the Christian faith, but few Christians
in the Philippines understand or observe today these laws, let alone
non-Christians. God has given us His Laws on how we are to be govern - laws
which instruct us on managing agriculture, health laws, caring for the needy,
economic management, marriage and child-rearing, business management, and social
responsibility.

The current democratic system of government in the Philippines appears to be
incapable of making the changes necessary for the country to survive because of
the competing political interests. The whole bureaucratic government structure
needs to be destroyed and replaced by a new efficient simplified administration
if the country is to be turned around. A group of respected leaders not tainted
by the existing political establishment is needed to be appointed to oversee the
administration of the country. They would select a new chief executive to run
the country - preferably some-one who has no political or commercial interests
in the Philippines. This person would be recruited from the international
marketplace by an executive search recruitment company much in the same way as a
multi-national company appoints a new chief executive who is answerable to a
Board of Directors. CEOs would also be selected for each area of government
responsibility, such as health, education, finance, etc. Many existing
government departments need to be abolished as they do little to serve the
people other than enrich those running them. CEOs would have the authority to
recruit and appoint new staff for running government offices - using modern
technology most of the work done could be automated eliminating most staff, and
the temptation to corruption. Existing staff would need to reapply for
positions, but any involved in any form of previous corruption would not be
eligible.

Sadly misplaced nationalism along with undisciplined emotional immaturity has
hurt the Philippines. National pride and incompetent leadership has allowed the
country to slide down the road towards anarchy. As with many Latin American and
African countries, the people have suffered because of corrupt leaders more
interested in enriching themselves than caring the people they rule.

Police and military organisations have become infected with corruption, more
interested in protecting their commercial and political interests than serving
under a leadership of experienced competent administrators. The law needs be
enforced rather than ignored as today. The death penalty bought back again for
capital crimes and the legal service retrained to work with a retrained clergy
in ensuring that the Law of God is upheld. The clergy would need to be purged
and replaced with a ministry that is prepared to uphold the Law of God and the
teachings of Jesus Christ.

Unless the Philippines makes changes soon, the country will self-destruct,
sliding into anarchy, erupting into civil war, famine, starvation, disease
epidemics, widespread unemployment, economic and social collapse. This will
only worsen the plight of the people already trapped in poverty, and probably
result in China or Japan taking over administrating the country.

The Philippines is not unique - many nations around the world are heading down
the same road towards insolvency as government spending spirals out of control,
but falling taxation revenue creating unsustainable deficit. The outcome will
result in a chain reaction of governments defaulting on their debts. We had the
banking crisis of 2008/09 - next financial crisis will be created by governments
defaulting on their debts.

The world is entering into a dangerous age, where rising populations compete for
diminishing resources. The threat to the Philippines and to the planet as a
whole from global warming will hasten bringing on disease and famine. History
tells us the outcome will result in war - the condition the world is in now the
stage is set for a precursor leading to another major conflict. If it was not
for the fear of another nuclear weapons then conflict would have erupted
already.

The Philippines is far from unique with the problems of mis-government that its
people have suffered because of poor government. Most of the people living in
the third world suffer under the same curse. Their sufferings and struggle for
survival will not be resolved until Jesus Christ returns to establish His
Government on earth. Only then will the world know peace, prosperity and
justice for all. This day will not be far away.

Recently this has led to discussions among European leaders on an alternative
economic model - replacing market capitalism with state-controlled capitalism or
National Socialism as it is sometimes known. These same leaders are also
promoting the need for a single world governing authority to regulate protection
of the global environment and the world's financial system. The recent talks in
Copenhagen failed because the USA and China did not wish to be subjected to such
an authority or support its introduction. A new economic crisis will create the
environment when people would support the introduction of the new world order to
replace the failed institutions that currently exist.

The 2010 General Election:
Advice on How to Vote
By Sean Gabb

There must, within the next few months, be a general election in England.
I will not presume to advise my readers on how to vote. I will, instead,
explain how I am at present inclined to vote, and will invite any comments
that may arise.

My present inclination is to vote for the Conservative Party. I do not
need to be told that these people are, for the most part, trash. I have
been mixing in Conservative circles for thirty years now, and I have grown
used to the idea of running home after most meetings for a bath. For the
avoidance of doubt, let me admit what I think would be the nature of any
Government led by David Cameron. It would not withdraw from the European
Union. It would not roll back the multicultural elements of our police
state. It would not require the police and other public bodies to behave
with more humanity or common sense than they now do after thirteen years
of Labour tyranny. It would not restore freedom of speech and association
as they were understood in 1960. The identity card scheme might be
cancelled - but not the national identity database that makes the scheme
possible. Any cuts in government spending will fall on the services that
are the excuse for such spending. None of the - often very well-paid -
administrative and support jobs that are the real purpose will be cut.
There will be no tax cuts. There will be no change to our external policy
of slavish subservience to the United States. The "climate change" charate
might even be become more scandalous.

This being so, why do I propose to vote Conservative? The answer is that a
Conservative Government would probably continue with most of the suicidal
or simply demented policies of the Blair and Brown Governments. But, at
the end of five years, it would then allow a free election as these things
have been commonly understood in England. A re-elected labour Government
would not. When these beasts in human form lied their way to office back
in 1997, they came in with the same assumptions as Hitler had in 1933.
They did not regard themselves as having acquired a limited and renewable
leasehold interest, but as having inherited the freehold. They and their
clients would never again have to sell their services in any open market.
They would reorder the State wholly to their own interest. No private
sphere, no ancient and immemorial rights would stand in their way. 1997
was Year Zero of their Thousand Year Reich.

So long as it was reasonably plain that they could win the next few
elections - if with a dwindling fraction of the total possible vote - they
were willing to keep most of the old rules. Even so, they took steps to
cartellise politics with party registration and "human rights" laws that
now allow them, given courage, to shut down dissident organisations like
the British National Party. For the past few years, however, they have
lived in constant fear of losing the next election. And, if Labour does
lose, that might cause the implosion of their Party. Therefore, if they do
somehow win after all, we can be reasonably sure that they will never
allow another free election. I doubt if they would go so far as abolishing
elections, or openly rigging them. But they are already talking about
schemes of "electoral reform" that would keep them permanently in office -
even if office must be shared with the Liberal Democrats. They would also
tighten the party registration laws, so that only those parties willing to
guarantee the existing order would be allowed to run in elections. They
might also extend their control over local politicians to Members of
Parliament - setting up some system whereby Members who were too outspoken
could be removed for "misconduct".

For all their faults, the Conservatives would not do any of these things.
Therefore, a vote for the Conservatives would be a vote for keeping the
system open for a real party of national restoration - whatever that might
be.

There is one other consideration. This is that, while a Cameron Government
with a majority of less than fifty would be little different from Labour,
a majority of more than a hundred would bring in new Members who had not
been hand-picked for their willingness to obey. A big Conservative
majority might force a Cameron Government to take a more liberal and
patriotic line on the main issues.

Many of my friends assure me they will vote for the UK Independence Party
or for the BNP - or, in one case, for an Islamic Party. I understand their
frustration with the existing political arrangements. However, the main
purpose of a general election is to send a majority into Parliament from
which a Government will be drawn. Whatever individual chance Nigel Farage
or Nick Griffin might have in their constituencies, the majority party
after the next election must be either Labour or the Conservatives. I wish
it were otherwise. But that is the choice we have to face. Do we want a
pack of smirking hypocrites, who will leave office after another election?
Or do we want what I have already called beasts in human form, who will
never leave office thereafter, short of revolution?

Some of my friends insist that voting for minor parties will bring on a
hung Parliament. This might be true. However, a hung Parliament would not
give decisive weight to any of these minority parties. It would simply
result in an auction between the two big parties for the Liberal
Democrats. That would be about as bad as a Labour Majority. The choice
remains Labour or Conservative.

Am I wrong? Is there some other viable option that I am overlooking? I
look forward to hearing if there is. After all, if I do vote Conservative,
it will be with forefinger and thumb clamped hard over my nose.

GODS LAW as written in the 1599 GENEVA BIBLE at

knowledge, I will also refuse thee that thou shall be no Priest to me: and
seeing thou hast forgotten the Law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children." Hosea 4:6

Did your INHERITANCE MONEY get STOLEN by THE STATE????

Do you want to get your INHERITANCE MONEY BACK????

556 (e) and demand that the IRS
correct it's records NOW, BEFORE THEY JUST MOVE FORWARD AND STEAM ROLL RIGHT
OVER YOU!

At the end of each FOIA, let's ask them for 2 separate ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS
that we are entitled to under both . . . 5 U.S.C 552 . . . and . . . 5 U.S.C.
556 (e) . . . that they are required to give us BEFORE they can invoke judicial
process and come after us in either a civil or criminal action.

There are other "amateur & beginner patriots" like . . . "LEGAL CHICKEN" . . .
and "tax honesty groups" and "individual patriots" who use FOIA and 26 U.S.C.
7433 with some minor success, but there are other much better remedies under
other statutes, which I cannot reveal until after you have sent me a consulting
fee to review your case and then hire me to custom tailor a FOIA RELIANCE
DEFENSE PACKAGE to fit your individual needs!

* * *

* * *

Chapter 5, verse 18 says:

"For the Scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that
treadeth out the corn: and, the laborer is worthy of his wages." Timothy,
5:18.

My FOIA RELIANCE DEFENSE PACKAGE is for serious inquiries only!!!!

TIME FOR TRUTH: Who Speaks for the People of Britain?

In the Chair: GEORGE WEST - Chairman, Campaign for an Independent Britain

Speakers

Dr. SEAN GABB, Director The Libertarian Alliance
FIONA McEVOY, The Taxpayers Alliance, West Midlands
STUART NOTHOLT, Vice-Chairman Campaign for an Independent Britain &
organiser of General Election “Candidate 2010”

Published by The Campaign for an Independent Britain
www.eurosceptic.org.uk For 35 years, CIB has led efforts to safeguard our
nation’s sovereignty. We are a democratic, independent and strictly
remaining a non-party political pressure group, supported by membership
subscriptions and donations from members of the public. Our objective is
Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union whilst maintaining trading
and friendly relations with other countries. Enquiries 07092 857684

3. Sean Gabb in The Daily Express

The front page headline in today's issue of The Daily Express is "New EU
Gestapo spies on Britons" (http://tinyurl.com/y85av9r). This is all about
the latest outrage from the European Union, and carries a long quotation
from the Thoughts of Director Gabb. He says: "It doesn’t surprise me that
Europol has been handed these rather frightening powers,... We now live in
a pan-European state so it was to be expected that it would have a federal
police force with powers over us....There is a real danger that opposition
to EU policies could make an individual liable to arrest.... For example,
if Brussels adopts a hard-line stance on climate change, it’s conceivable
that someone who broadcasts their scepticism of climate change may be
accused of committing an environmental crime because they have undermined
the EU’s efforts to save mankind."

4. Sean Gabb in Vdare

I have written two articles this year for Peter Brimelow's on-line journal
VDare (http://vdare.com/gabb/index.htm). These are both about the
persecution by the British State of the British National Party. I have had
a few displeased comments on these. However, what is now being done to the
BNP provides a good summary of how totalitarian England has become in the
past few decades. It would all have been unthinkable back in the days when
I used to amuse my friends with predictions of a police state. Another
point worth making is that libertarians are allowed to defend the BNP, but
only in this way: "I hate and deplore these evil men. I am myself
Jewish/gay/transgendered/one-third-Tibetan. But, purely from a (possibly
misguided) commitment to old-fashioned liberalism, I do beg you not to put
them in prison." To take this line is to concede moral hegemony to the
left. You probably get away with defending the rights of the BNP in much
the same way as camp entertainers like Liberace and Larry Grayson were
seldom denounced as homosexuals. You do nothing to defend freedom of
speech. A better defence is as follows: "Nick Griffin and his friends
should have an absolute right to speak as they please on public issues.
This was an unquestioned right in England before 1965. So far as it is no
longer a right, we no longer live in a free country."

5.Sean Gabb on Television

On the 7th March 2010, I went on the BBC1 television programme "The Big
Questions". My subject was whether voting should be made compulsory. The
assumption behind the debate was that: voting is good, people are not
voting in the right numbers, and so what should be done to raise the
turnout? I disrupted proceedings by pointing out that people are not
voting because the politicians are all scum. You can view my contribution
here: http://www.vimeo.com/10010978

6. Speech on Libertarianism

On the 17th March 2010, I gave a speech to the Politics Society of The
Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School on libertarianism. I only had twenty
minutes for may own speech, followed by twenty of questions, and this had
to be a basic introduction. But I think I covered the main points. You can
find the speech here:
http://www.libertarian.co.uk/multimedia/2010-03-17-hbaske-sig.mp3

7. Libertarian Alliance Meetings

Our friends over at the other Libertarian Alliance continue with their
monthly meetings. I can hardly ever get up to London to attend these. But
they always look very interesting, and I receive endless reports of how
interesting they have been. For details of the next meeting, contact David
McDonagh for details: mcdonagh_d@...

8. Richard Blake Activities

Just before Christmas, my dear friend Mr Blake put the finishing touches
to his masterpiece "Blood of Alexandria". This is a sensitive account of
land reform and mass-murder in late Byzantine Egypt. It will be published
by Hodder & Stoughton in June 2010. You can pre-order copies from Amazon:
http://tinyurl.com/yb4qvms He is now putting the last touches to his
"Sword of Damascus", which is a novel about Greek Fire and how the Arabs
never laid hands on the secret. This will not be available until June
2011. But Mr Blake believes in having a long pipeline. Once "Sword of
Damascus" is completed - probably in the next fortnight - he will settle
properly to work on an as yet untitled thriller. It is set in the July of
2014. This is a world in which neither world wars happened. The map is
still impressively red. The pound is worth a pound. The Triple Monarchy
rules Central Europe with benign inefficiency. America, following the
Second Civil War (1923-8), has become a nightmarish tyranny where a man
can be shot on the spot for smoking. There is a serial sex killer on the
prowl in London and Prague....

9. Sean Gabb on Facebook

I was nagged into joining this a few weeks ago. Unlike Linkedin, that was
a complete waste of time, this has been most interesting.

Subject: Antony Flew - A Brief Appreciation
oldwhiguk

http://libertarianalliance.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/antony-flew-rip/

Antony Flew has died at the age of 87:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/culture-obituaries/books-obituari
es/7586929/Professor-Antony-Flew.html

I came across Antony’s work in the early 1980s, when I first discovered
David Hume. I admired Antony without ever supposing I’d meet him. We did
eventually meet in June 1992. I was sitting in my office in the Prime
Minister’s Palace in Bratislava. The telephone rang. It was one of the
guards on the main door. He told me there was a strange old man with him
who understood a little German, but no Slovak, and who was unable to make
himself understood. I went down, and found it was the great Professor
Flew. He’d arrived at the main railway station to give some lectures for
the Jan Hus Foundation, but hadn’t been met. So he’d wandered the streets
of a Bratislava where almost no one in those days knew any English.
Eventually, for some reason I was never able to discover, he’d been pushed
towards the Prime Minister’s Palace. I took him off to his hotel and got
him booked in. Before we parted, he asked if I’d like to go with him the
following morning to the site of Austerlitz (Slavkov) to inspect the
battlefield.

Next day, I went off with him as his interpreter, and spend the day
translating all the inscriptions there out of Czech and French and Latin.
It was a jolly outing.

Back in England, I found myself bumping into him at an increasing number
of libertarian and conservative events. Most people, I regret to say,
regarded him as something of an old bore. He liked the fact that I always
regarded him with awed admiration and enjoyed discussing his favourite
subjects – empirical epistemology and so forth.

I remember walking with him to Charing Cross Railway Station in late 1997.
He surprised me then by wishing for a Christian revival to counter what he
regarded as the much more malign force of Islam. This did sort of prepare
me for his later conversion to theism – though I was always surprised at
his acceptance of the argument from design in terms that our common
Master, David Hume, had already demolished. I was too polite in any of our
later conversations to press him on this. Instead, I let him talk and talk
about the quite irrelevant facts of DNA and its complexities. And, since
I’m a sceptic rather than an atheist, I’ve never tried to argue anyone out
of a belief in God that might well be correct, even if I don’t feel
terribly drawn to it myself.

During his last few years, his mind began to fail him. I met him once
while he was wandering lost in London. He recognised me and was grateful
that I was able to get him onto the right railway train back to Reading.
But he was increasingly vague about everything except philosophical issues
on which he’d spent his entire life working, and that were unlikely to
leave him even after he’d most much sense of his own identity.

He lived long. He lived well. If there is a God, I don’t think He’ll hold
against him the little matter of sixty years of philosophical atheism. I
bid farewell to a friend and a guide:

E tenebris tantis tam clarum extollere lumen
qui primus potuisti inlustrans commoda vitae,
te sequor o Graiae gentis decus inque tuis nunc
ficta pedum pono pressis vestigia signis….
