Description

This group exists to read a limited amount of the Greek New Testament during the season of Lent. The reading will begin on Ash Wednesday and conclude on the Wednesday of Holy Week so as to be concluded prior to Maundy Thurday. When the season is over, the group will go into hiatus until the following Lent. The posts will remain until the next season is about to begin at which time they will be deleted. The Nestle-Aland 27th edition or the GNT 4 is to be preferred, but any Greek text is acceptable so long any any deviation from the standard text is noted with regard to its source. This is not a group to discuss doctrinal issues. Discourse is to be civil, and it is hoped that it will not be necessary to enforce this.

It should be noted that all new members' posts will first need to be approved before they are sent to the list. Formerly any member could post from the time of subscription. While this group has experienced no problems, I have seen other groups where new subscribers have attempted to turn the group into a dating service. This is preemptive against such.

Correction:  I entered the wrong day of Lent in the previous posting of this. Since I'm writing these behind time, I mistakenly confounded two readings into
