Yes, I would say that they cantilever too far from the engine. No, make that way, way too far. He did use forged steel fittings, the strongest you can get

Gary, I've attached two photos showing all the rigid plumbing attached to the crankcase. That's a lot of weight hanging on that oil outlet on the crankcase!
