Hey Everybody,
Our annual chapter spring fellowship outing is right around the corner.
Fellowship outings are events during the year where Arrowmen get together to
have fun with no work involved.
This year we will be attending the Snow Camp at Forest Lawn (see details below).
We will have the opportunity to sleep in the staff cabins and participate in
many snow related activities. This is a Venture Crew weekend. We are as OA
Lakota Chapter Venture Crew 1994. You are invited for fellowship weekend which
is Sat morning (you don't have to get up early) through Sun afternoon. All meals
will be provided by the camp as well as sleeping in beds in a heated cabin.
There is also a Rock Climbing Wall and Movies in the evening.
If you are able to attend please contact Roman Ventura at vecepsm@... as
soon as possible.

I have uploaded a new Lakota roster. It is now more pleasing to the eye and
accurate. But with this many people, there are bound to be a few errors, so
please email me at Bappleget@... with any corrections. Please do not fix
them yourself as too many people handling the roster is how it ended up as it
did.
Pleases see the attached flyer for the Section Service Project. The project is the weekend of the 17th.Please let Tim or I know if you are able to make it.
Also, there is still room to go to NLS.Please talk to Tim for information about onsite registration.
Just wanted to remind everyone that we have a meeting tonight. The meeting will
be at the Torrance LDS Steak Center on Kent Avenue from 7:30 to 9.
See you there!
David Dye

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, I just got the information for the Cub Day Camp from Matthew Gallon.

The W4N Section Conclave is coming up in 7 weeks on the weekend of 24-26 September. A Conclave is a gathering of several Lodges. In our Section there are 6 Lodges. There will be 200+ Arrowmen, games, competitions, classes, a campfire, and the National Chief.
If you are a new Arrowman (fall 09 or spring 10 Ordeal) then your cost is $35. Other Arrowmen can still get the Early Bird rate of $47 up until 22 August (the website currently says 1 Aug and is incorrect).
I will be out of the office on vacation from July 19th until August 9th.
If you have any questions related to Dispute Resolution while I am out of
the office, please contact Garett Burnham.
Just a reminder that there is a Chapter Meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the
LDS Stake Center on Kent Avenue.
There will be food for everyone at tomorrow nights meeting. In fact, Lakota
Arrowmen are needed to help serve that food. If you are able to help please let
me know. Please plan to arrive between 6:45 and 7.
Our Niamat Chair, Ryan Glymph, will also be holding a seminar on how to be an
effective Niamat (A Niamat Conducts the Brotherhood Classes). If you are
already brotherhood I encourage you to listen to what Ryan has to offer.
Remember, Brotherhood conversions are extremely important to our Chapter and
Lodge. Without properly trained Niamats we are unable to hold successful
conversions. While the Niamat seminar is going on there are other activities
planned for those not yet Brotherhood.
The Lodge Fellowship Day is fast approaching. I have pasted the relevant
information below. In addition to all of the fun and games there will also be a
Brotherhood conversion opportunity. Please respond to this email letting me
know if you are able to attend (If you would like to participate in the
Brotherhood Class, please specify that in your reply).
I hope to see you all of you tomorrow (Opps, I mean tonight... hehe).
Yours in Scouting,
David
