Ladyfest Out West is a non-profit, community-based festival scheduled for Denver 2003 to promote past, present, and future women's artistic, social, political, and personal achievements and involvements. Celebrating various forms of expression through visual/performance art, music, discussions, and workshops, the festival encourages women and their allies to fully participate in and contribute to an inclusive and proactive feminist community.

Why We Are:

Because we recognize the inequalities faced by past, present, and future women and society's continual refusal to acknowledge our accomplishments, abilities, and experiences as valid and vital, we strive to create our own independent assembly to give credit where credit is due.

Goals:

-to increase the visiblity of and showcase women in activism and the arts

-to provide and stimulate an open and accessible forum for honest interaction and dialogue between people of all ages, abilities, races, cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, and genders on contemporary issues

-to share our experiences and wisdom with each other to foster understanding of segments of our community that are still regrettably marginalized and silenced
