I just received a certificate of nomination from Citibank creditshield and was appalled to see the following:-

"exclusions:

No benefits will be payable under this Policy in respect of a Life Insured:-
5.9.1 where the Event occurs as a result of:-

(vii) Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS Related Complex (ARC) as defined by the World Health Organization from time to time, or the presence of the Human Immune deficiency Virus (HIV) as revealed by the positive HIV anti-body or HIV test."

This is really disgusting, particularly from an American MNC. There was not other 'medical' issue specifically targeted.

I have just wrote to citibank global demanding an explanation, do hope others will do the same.
