Nice maps, Jon. The color aerial photos are a nice touch. Though it doesn't show up so much on the Richards Loop section, the aerials can provide more current data than the topos and much more info on the land use, highlighting new pine stands, newer homes and developments, new roads, etc.
I did notice that you dimmed the topo map to accentuate the roads and trail. IMO it makes it hard to read the base map.
But that's a style issue that not everyone would agree with.Once again, nice work.

I recently posted 2 maps covering Richard's Loop in the "Hiking Guides
and Maps" folder and invite everyone to to take a look. Please send me
feedback on any changes you would like to see. I can make similar maps
for the entire trail to almost any specification. Groups doing trail
maintenance can also have custom section maps made to almost any sheet
size and scale. Maps can be output as a high resolution PDF or up to a
poster-size print.
I am a GIS and Mapping consultant doing business as East Texas
Geomatics. I am also an Eagle Scout and have a degree in Forest
Recreation Management. The initial mapping work for the trail will
come at no cost to anyone but myself and any printing/shipping will be
charged at cost. I primarily utilize ArcGIS software and have a wide
range of geospatial resources available. Data submitted from user's
GPS data in GPX format can also be utilized.

were uploaded by you, your feedback will be especially appreciated.
