Please come to a travelogue this Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Arvada Public
Library, 7525 W. 57th Ave, 7 p.m., the corner of Webster and 57th. Enter through
the library's main door and turn left and go down the hall to the meeting room.
Do not go inside the library (you can, of course, if you want to). Refreshments
will be provided.

The travelogue will cover the river cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna by the
Tyrells and Stouts and a Windjammer cruise to Tahiti by the Mulvanys.

Come share some memories with us about Stade, as well, and learn about our Stade
visitors who will come sometime in 2010.

All:

Recently you may have received an "Upcoming Events" email from Denver
Sister Cities ("DSC"). Since DSC has discontinued their PRINTED
newsletter to cut costs, our president, Barb Martin, has asked me to
forward the new email version to our Yahoo email groups.

The "Upcoming Events" mailing was a test of the new forwarding
procedure. It was preceded by an announcement similar to this one,
which apparently did not go through.

The DSC newsletter will be sent out quarterly. There will be no more
"Upcoming Events" emails.

Sorry for any confusion.

To all LSCP Members:

Your Board is attempting to let all members know of the new King Soopers reloadable gift cards availability.

Here is a simple way to have King Soopers pay us for shopping at their stores. There is no cost for our members. You will not be taking money from the family budget to purchase these cards. You merely need to purchase a card for $100, which prepays your grocery purchases. Once you have spent the $100 any cashier can reload the card and Lakewood Sister Cities Program will continue to receive $5.00 for every $100 spent at King Soopers. You do not need to repurchase a gift card if you continue to make purchases at King Soopers within any 90 day period.

These cards are available at any board meeting. The next board meeting is Thursday May 21, 7PM at the Consolidated Mutual Water Co. offices, 12700 W. 27th Ave. in Lakewood.

We also have Safeway gift cards that give us 5% for every dollar purchased at Safeway stores, but they can not be reloaded to benefit LSCP.

If you are unable to attend the board meeting you can call Nancy Pepin at 303-979-1599 or Denise Newman at 303-231-9177 and they will arrange for you to purchase the gift cards of your choice.

Let’s not loose the opportunity to have King Soopers and Safeway give us money for shopping at their stores.
