Description
This group is for the discussion of the proposed licensed Low Powered AM broadcast service that is presently before the FCC at this time. Supporter input is needed so that better ideas can be implemented and incorporated into the proposal. The proposal calls for LPAM stations to operate at 10 watts, operate into 50 foot tall antennas and operate on the upper end of the AM broadcast band from 1620 khz to 1700 khz and that the service be of a commerical or noncommerical nature.
***Please NOTE these few rules***This group is about the discussion of the proposed licensed low power AM proposal that is before the FCC, part 15 operations, part 15 antenna systems. No discussions of how to setup a pirate radio station will be entertained here. This is NOT an NAB supported group, contrary to the propaganda that is being spread by the opposition. This is a group primarly designed for anyone interested in seeing the creation and licensing of a low powered Community AM radio broadcasting service.[LPAM]
