Description

This group is for the discussion of the proposed commerical licensed Low Powered AM broadcast service that is presently before the FCC at this time. Supporter input needed so that better ideas can be implemented and incorporated into the proposal. The proposal calls for LPAM stations to operate at 10 watts, operate into 50 foot tall antennas and operate on the upper end of the AM broadcast band from 1620 khz to 1700 khz and that the service be of a commerical or noncommerical nature.
Welcome to LPAM, the place to talk about how to make licensed Low Power AM community commerical radio stations become reality, plus keep up with the lastest developements on this proposal and lastest actions in Washington D.C.
***Please NOTE these few rules***This group is not about the sole discussion part 15 operations, part 15 antenna systems. The bases of LPAM is based on part 15, but please don't linger soley on part 15 topics. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT what so ever try discussing Civil Defense Radio, CB operations or anything illegal. There are other groups on the internet that cover those topics. Doing so will have you placed into moderation before your post are sent to the group. This is a group solely designed for anyone interested in seeing the creation and licensing of a low powered Community AM radio broadcasting service. Please keep the discussions on that topic please.[LPAM]
