I use to live in Erie, PA. To see this ship sailing is breathtaking. It would be
a real shame & a great loss if they discontinue sailing it. Please consider
signing the petition to keep this historical tall ship sailing. Here is it's
website, if you would like to read about it's history and what they currently
use the ship for (museum tours & training). http://www.brigniagara.org/index.htm
Here's the website to sign the petition.

Hi my name is Sandy and I just joined the group.
I found the art of LMRourke at the Harry Potter Lexicon and fell in
love with her drawings.
Happily, I discovered the posts at Deviant Art too! What a gift you
have Lisa.
I wasn't sure how to ask for permission to use some of your art in
stationery that I make for outlook express and post to a private
newsgroup so I sent it to "moderator". I hope that was ok.
I'm so pleased to see you here at Yahoo too!
:-)
Sandy
Hi, Florence! Welcome aboard! The group has been
very very slow for quite some time now since I haven't
drawn anything in over a year but you are certainly
welcome to look around and I'd be happy to answer any
questions you may have. If you ever do post any of
your work, please let me know, I'd love to see it! ^_^
Regards,
Lisa

artist myself. I have'nt posted anything on the internet, (I don't have

I know I'll enjoy the art here and thanks for letting me join! ;0)
I enjoy the Harry Potter series and also Lord of the Rings too!
Take care, Florence :0)
Thank you so much for your kind permission.
And, again, your drawings are wonderful. They have depth and humanity; for
myself, who writes, I find them inspiring.

Hello! Thank you so much for the compliment! ^_^ I had forgotten that
I had images on Photobucket, I haven't used it in such a long time. I
have no problem with anyone using my artwork as long as they ask
permission first and remember to credit me. If you are asking because
you want to make a story banner, then you have my permission. If there
are any other images that are not on photobucket that you are
interested in, you can go to my deviantart site

First of all, your drawings are gorgeous.
My question is this: some of them, perhaps many, have turned up on
photobucket. I came across them while looking for images for a story
banner. So my question is, what is your policy with regard to the use
of your images in that way?

Thank you so much, Tim! I really do value your comments and opinion.
My artwork in an ongoing learning process. When I started out 7 years
ago I had lots of time to practice and develop my skills so many of
the earlier ones probably have more of a finished look and have more
contrast. Unfortunately, over the past several years, I've had
increasingly less time to devote to my artwork and I have to say I
really do miss it. I'm seriously hoping that my personal life/work
settle down so that I can get back to drawing again soon.
Thanks again for taking the time to post!

sure to finish all your work with the same effort. For example, your

Thank you so very much! ^_^ You're right about Lupin being my favorite
character- I guess it shows! *lol* I've used many different models
for my portraits. As a matter of fact, I think the only drawings that
I've used the same model twice on were the ones of "Long hair Ron" and
"Weasley is King". Those were based on a friend. Most of the others
were photos of random people I gathered from advertisements, magazines
and books that I thought embodied some of the characteristics of the
characters I was trying to portray. I've had a vision of Lupin from
the beginning that I've tried to stay close to in all my drawings of
him even though I've used totally different models. Same with the
other characters. :-)
P.S. If I had Lupin's phone number, I wouldn't give it out! *lol* ^_^

models, for the Potter drawings? The faces are so beautiful,
interesting, and expressive. They have tons of stuff on the Lexicon

Especially the Lupin pieces. He's your favorite, isn't he? If you are

I think it's cheaper if you buy it from Amazon by a couple of bucks
but then you have to wait until they ship it to you. Not sure I want
to do that considering it's the LAST book! ;_; I may just pre-order
the deluxe version and go to the final festivities.

In case anyone was wondering about the drawing on my homepage, it's
one of a handful of drawings that I've done in the last 4-6 months.
I've had so much going on in my life right now that I was lucky to do
the few I posted. If you're interested they are uploaded in the photo
section under the "COMMISSIONED WORKS" folder and the "PERSONAL"
folder (last page).
I'm currently working on a second rendition of my "Ed Robertson" and
"Steven Page" drawings as the originals were donated to the BnL Teacup
auction for Hurricane Katrina relief. The reason I'm redrawing them
is that I'm hoping to give them to the singers themselves when I go to
one of their concerts later this month. ^_^
