Welcome to LCBirds 2. This is a friendly group of people who enjoy or want to know more about the birds in the Lower Columbia Basin – an area in SE Washington and NE Oregon that hosts over 200 species of birds. You do not need to be an expert to participate. LCBirds2 is list-owner operated. Feel free to contact us at LCBirds2-owner@yahoogroups.com Your input is appreciated.

Please sign your posts with at least a first name and city.
Topics will range from backyard feeding, sightings, questions, and status and distribution.

LCBirds was founded almost 4 years ago and disappeared into an electronic abyss. So now we have LCBirds2.
PHOTOGRAPHS: In the original group, we had many terrific photo albums from many great local photographers. In this group, we are doing something different. There are albums with bird group headings. Feel free to add your photos to these categories. If you have a photo website, please post it in the links. I challenge everyone to add photos to make this a place where people can enjoy and identify the birds they have seen. Pick your best shots! See how many species we can showcase. The group owner may edit your titles!
Key words: birding, birds, ornithology, Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, Lower Columbia Basin, shrub-steppe
