Description
Welcome to LCBirds.
LCBirds is a mailing list for topics related to birding in the Lower Columbia Basin in Washington and northern Oregon. This includes the area around the TriCities (Pasco, Richland, Kennewick), in Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, Adams, Grant, and Umatilla (OR) counties.
Anyone may subscribe to LCBirds. Potential members are screened to prevent spam. All members have the option to receive emails posted to the group, a digest, or no emails. Only members of the group can post, respond to letters, and post photos.
Replies to posts will be sent to the sender. If you want the reply to go to the whole group, you must change the address to LCBirds@yahoogroups.com
It is the hope that this list will be friendly and informative. It is hoped that members will post recent sightings, ask questions, and share birding knowledge. Members are expected to be respectful.
Please sign posts with a first name and general location. Please label photos with the identification of the bird, and date and location taken.
Sightings in the Lower Columbia Basin are summarized in The Curlew, the newsletter of the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society (LCBAS). To get copies of the newsletter one can request a free copy on their website and then join. See link below.

Re: Flycatcher help, please.
Sure looks like a Gray to me. Long bill, longer than I would expect from a Dusky, sharp demarcation between yellow and dark on the bill. Hard to tell colors,

"Kind of late"
Phil, there is no such thing as "kind of late" this year. When someone told me today that it was going to be in the 90s this weekend -- perhaps even west of
