This group is not officially sanctioned or promoted by the Long Beach Junior Concert Band. This is a PRIVATE GROUP created for DRUMMERS by DRUMMERS who have come and gone through the ranks of the LBJCB during its 50+ year existence. Joining is a cinch (please see instructions below). Whether you were a drummer for 10 days or 10 years, this group is dedicated to you. You earned the right to proclaim you're a drummer! You earned the right to wear the brown and gold sweatshirt. You earned the right to wear the red, yellow and blue uniform. You earned the right to beat on the red drum with gold trim, or carry a pair of Zildjian cymbals. What we are providing is an open forum for anyone to contribute stories about stuff they did with, or without the band. The only thing we ask is that it be kept on a professional level. That is not to say that razzing or vulgarity will not be allowed. Actually, we encourage it. We also know the fine line between funny and harsh stuff. Every single one of us has either said or done something really stupid, drunk or sober. And hopefully we can laugh along with others who tell the story. So it will be kind of open season. The most important thing that must be pointed out for this group is that it is for anyone who has ever been an LBJCB DRUMMER. Any current association they now have with other groups is their business. We do not wish for any topics regarding "rival" percussion group's current activities discussed. If any are mentioned by name, we would appreciate it be brief, such as, "I ended up performing with", or "He's now with", etc. We are looking forward to much participation with this group.
