Thanks for the information.  Too bad the Expo event, sponsored by the San Fernando Valley NFB chapter, isn't actually held in the SFV!  I'm going to try to get to this event, since I'm looking for a device that's somewhere between my reading glasses and desktop CCTV.  May also go to the Vision Walk as well, but might just save my energy for the Walk4Hearing in Long Beach on November 8.

I've had a weird year.  I'm now living in Tarzana - right around the corner from the Center for the Partially Sighted satellite office.  Mom & I lost our Sylmar home in the fire last November and have moved twice since then.  We spent 10 days at my sister's in Sherman Oaks, six months in a small apartment in Sherman Oaks, and now here.  I hope this will be home for a while.
