We're not about decreasing importance of Japa, Sankirtana, HariNama, arotika, Etc. Sometimes a prayer may help one control their mind = next helps them chant. Or it may lift a block & thus increase their devotional service. With extreme stress like a hospitalized child or terminally ill spouse, Etc., it can be difficult to chant, needing support of devotees & Krishna.

We might hear a Vaisnava is about to leave their body. Family or friends may ask us to pray for easy passage, & help remembrance of Krishna at the time of death.

Or a nondevotee may submit a healing request = opportunity to share Krishna with them & pray to ParamAtma to kindly open their heart.

In all cases the results are up to Krishna. This is simply a way to serve for those who'd like to add it, or don't live in a temple, the home-bound, devotees who feel they don't fit, anyone. Some are naturally drawn to energy healing without a devotee source - now there is! :)
