I complied with your wish to remove your address from my list. The rule, you

quoted as international, does not seem to apply to you.

  Your comprehension of Polish serfs and aristocracy indicates that your

knowledge of history, related to the development of our civilisation is rather

restricted. I do not claim to be the descendant of Polish nobility, but I am a

person of Polish descent. Therefore, I appreciate and resolve Polish history in

terms of international events and related social conditions.

You sound like a prophet of communist propaganda and Ukrainian deranged

accusations , directed against Poles. When these come to me, I am sure, that the

delayed echo comes from the people, incapable to form their opinions on

truthful, reliable and objective basis. They merely repeat false foreign

arguments to give rise to hate and distrust.

It would not hurt you to read History of Civilisation (the serfdom era) by Will

Durant. His corelated social aspect of various nations may help you to sort out

your confused deductions about the Polish past.

It is all so sad and really quite unncessary.  It comes

from a failure on both sides to remember the real

historical background to the co-existence of these

peoples over a period of 600 years.  Most Poles today are the descendants of the

"wloscianie" , the peasant

population of Poland, which was even more abused by the Polish nobility and

aristocracy than were the Jewish

people over those several centuries. The  nobles right of arbitrary life and

death over the Polish peasantry ( and

the other peasant nationalities of the Commonwealth) is  a cringing and

sufficient example. On the other hand, the Jewish population waWhen both groups

arrived in the New World as immigrants or came to

settle Australiasia these difference were not wiped out.  The advantages which

in part arose out of economic and legal position in the old Europe (ancien

regime)

continue to shape our relationship today.

It is quite unfortunate that some people prefer to once

again forget

all this and continue to find blame with the children of

the shackled Polish peasant. Today's Poles are not



the top, the Polish magnates and aristocracy.

   I for one do not accept

responsibility for the actions of the nobility and

aristocracy in Poland, who absolutely and with fire and

sword, determined the course of all social relations and

who deprived my ancestors of their

human dignity and their fundamenal human rights for so

many centuries.
