Kolaynu: The Progressive Jewish Voice of Santa Cruz invites you to Erev Rosh
Hashanah Shofar Services, celebrating the Jewish New Year in
“Santa-Cruz-Style” -- participatory, egalitarian, progressive, creative,
and peace-oriented -- on Monday, September 29, at the Pacific Cultural Center,
1307 Seabright Avenue at Broadway in Santa Cruz. Please arrive by 6:45 PM so
that we may begin promptly at 7 PM.
With cantorial soloist Jonnie Pekelny, and shofar sounder Trevor Bryce.
Children, flowers, decorations for the altar/mishkan and percussion instruments
welcome! We welcome individuals and families of every configuration and
orientation - interfaith, questioning, and friends of Jews. Come as you are
(please refrain from wearing fragrances in consideration of those who may be
sensitive).
