Madison used to be my next-door neighbor.  Over the past few years I
have come to know her and her siblings very well.  I love this
family.  Probably because they showed me such love and care, even
though they had problems as well.  I have MS and Brandi, Madison's
mother, has been battling cancer.  We have also had to battle for
disability benefits, and those of you who have been through it know
that even if your doctors get it, often the government does not.

Life was tough for all of us – still is – but sometimes the tough
things make you learn some important things.  When I started working
through my MS therapy, having to take a lot of pills and give myself
a shot everyday, trying to walk without falling…not really getting
what was happening – I would get a knock on the door, usually Madison
or Nathan bringing me something to eat or a card, or just checking on
me if they hadn't seen me in a day or two.

Perhaps to me it is interesting because we talk about diversity in
this country, but the Dosdall's have put it into practice.  I, as a
black female from Atlanta, sometimes think that Knoxville is a little
backwards.  I do marvel at the slick pace of a bustling city, but
there is soooooooo  much value in the slower pace, the human
exchange, the connecting of people to people that Knoxville provides.

At a point when I was at my lowest, the Dosdalls taught me a lot, and
I am a pretty smart chick …lol.  I learned about caring from a
stranger.  I learned about the amazing capacity of children to love
and care.  I know Madison will continue to re-enforce the bridge of
compassion that she has in her spirit.  I do believe our children are
our future.  If you want to help us reach our goal of raising

I am lowering the price of the Singer sewing machine because I really
need to get it out of my house!!!

I will let it go for $40! It is a Singer 500A sewing machine, with
pedal and a table for storage!! It is really pretty. Email me for
pictures!!! I really need this gone by Wednesday. I have company
coming in and need the extra space!

I also have a wooden high chair with a blue patterned padding. It
looks like a Jenny Lynd but I don't think it is. It is rounded edges,
again, really pretty. The tray will need a little work. It is tricky
getting it off and on. Also has a seat belt so the little one won't
climb out!! I am asking $10 for this. Let me know if interested!

I have a wooden high chair with padding for sale. I is in very good
condition. THe only thing is that the tray is a little tricky, but
could probably be fixed VERY easily. I just don't have the time to
try to fix the problem. It looks like a Jenny Lind style. It was made
by JCPenney and has the date on it of 1994. I am only asking $15. I

hello, i have a 1990 chevy lumina for sale. bad tranny. $300 obo.

I am sell an nintendo ds and the kit.  It comes with the ac
adapter, car adapter, 2 gba game cases each hold 3 sp games and 3 ds
games, metroid demo game, strap, the original box, the instructions,
2 small stylists, 2 large stylist, screen protecters which is
already on it, cleaning cloth, earphones, and earphone bag, a
carring bag which carries everything.  It is in perfect condition
which is no scratches anywhere on it.  Works perfectly. Only been
used 4 times.  I've had it for 2 weeks.  I am ofering 150.00 for

Our church is compiling Crisis Care Kits to send to the victims of
the quakes and tsunami. If you would like to take part, you can
donate full kits or specific items to go in the kits. These must be
NEW items only, please. Each Crisis Care Kit (CCK) includes the
following items in a 2-gallon zip-lock bag:

• One (1) medium-size bottle of shampoo
• Two (2) bars of soap
• One (1) medium toothpaste
• Three (3) toothbrushes
• One (1) box of bandaids
• One (1) fingernail clipper
• One (1) sturdy hair comb
• Two (2) hand towels
• Four (4) pocket-sized packages of facial tissues
• One (1) Beanie Baby-sized stuffed toy

Each CCK should contain ONLY the items/quantities requested.

Each kit must contain the same Items, but as stated above, you can
buy part of a kit if you can't afford the entire kit. We are putting
together as many as we can, so anything you can give will help and
be appreciated.

Please email me for hours you can drop off the kits at the church,

My husband and I co-pastor the South Knoxville Church of the Nazarene
on Sevier Avenue in South Knoxville. Our church is starting
a "Welcome Neighbor" program to provide small welcome gifts to new
residents in the 37920 zip code and I'm looking for businesses who
have items they'd like to have included in the packs.

There is no charge to the business, other than providing the
materials (samples, coupons, etc.) and it's a great advertising
