For robes specific to Boreth, the best (and only) reference would be the episode
in question. I do not remember anything other than some fairly generic civilian
garb as far as the pilgrims. The clerics were in robes but I don't know if we
have seen enough to guess at what the differences mean. There is a group out of
Florida that designed robes that blend Klingon uniform features and human monks
robes quite well. For my own, I used elements from human (American) academic
robes, the commander's battle cloak like Kruge wore and the robe worn by the
Chancellor. I am actually working on updating the design as part of a larger new
uniform project.Alan/qoSaghwww.qaptaq.org

My name is Be'quvIt, and I am new to this group. I was wondering if you could
give me some guidance on how to recreate a Klingon cleric's robe or pilgrim's
robe (what pilgrims to Boreth would wear). I'm still developing my Klingon
character and would like her to be a Boreth pilgrim, perhaps studying to be a
missionary/cleric, and would like guidance on what would be appropriate for me
to wear.

Thanks,

Be'quvIt (also known as Jenn)

Greetings,

The following is a monthly reminder of the etiquette for this Klingon mailing
list, and is also sent to all new members who join the Klingon Costuming list.

Since this list is owned and maintained by the Klingon Imperial Diplomatic
Corps, we ask that list members always maintain civil and diplomatic behaviour
during discussions and respect the opinions of others, even if they differ from
your own.

If you disagree with someone's opinion, that's fine -- you can agree to
disagree. Never insult or attack someone personally just because they do not
agree with you. You can defend your own opinions with facts, research, logical
reasoning, and links to relevant material. That is the diplomatic way to handle
things and is what is expected of our all of our forum and mailing list members.

Please keep your postings on topic with the main theme of this particular
Klingon mailing list. The Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps oversees over 15
public Klingon-related mailing lists, so if your post is not appropriate to this
list, it might be more suitable for one of the others. For a listing of these
mailing lists; please consult the following URL:

http://www.klingon.org/commnet/mailing_lists.html

All our mailing lists are moderated in order to reduce spam and junk mail
postings, as well as to keep the list on topic. The lists also do not accept
attachments, nor does it approve "test messages". If you need to refer to a
photo or document, you can upload it to appropriate folder within the mailing
list's site and then mention the folder name or include the URL in your message.
Please keep any photos optimized; we reserve the right to optimize or remove any
files over 100k in size.

We do not accept any overtly commercial postings or messages, particularly if
they are not directly related to Klingon Costuming. Although we do allow list
members to post factual reviews or testimonials regarding producers of Klingon
items or costumes, we do frown upon commercially-related list members from
directly promoting themselves or their work on our list. We do, however, allow
them to participate on the list, by sharing their knowledge and expertise with
others, and to improve or enhance their reputation in this manner.

Links to sites of direct interest to our Klingon Costuming members may be posted
in the most appropriate category of our links section. We reserve the right to
move, moderate, edit or remove links on our site.

Since the mailing list is archived, we ask that anyone who is replying to a post
please quote only the necessary lines or paragraph, not the entire message, or
even worse, the entire digest! (To do so might otherwise delay the approval of
your posted message.) Please refer to the actual subject name of the message to
which you are replying, not just the digest name, as this will allow for better
threading of messages in the archive.

Also please remove any extra text, such as logos, advertisements and other
message taglines. The few extra moments that it takes to do so is greatly
appreciated by others on the list.

Please keep your signature (sig) to a maximum of 4 lines, this gives you enough
space to include your name, rank, group and website if necessary. Anything
longer than 4 lines risks being cropped & edited to an acceptable length.

If you have posted a special request for help, information or advice and have
not received the answer you need from the list, please consider also posting
your request on the Klingon Imperial Forums:

http://www.klingon.org/forum

The Klingon Imperial Forums have numerous members with various expertise in
Klingon-related topics. There is a very good chance that someone should be able
to help you there. (The forums also serve as an alternative meeting ground that
is also free of any ads, banners or pop-ups, as opposed to Yahoo...)

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping this mailing list active and on topic
and respecting the above guidelines and etiquette, as this improves the
experience for everyone. (We reserve the right to update, modify and edit our
list rules as the need arises.) If you have a problem with the way we run our
lists, then feel free to go elsewhere -- our lists, our rules!
