About Kelly:
Kelly Steed grew-up involved in Civil War and later Revolutionary War Re-enacting. She portrayed a soldier's daughter, army nurse, light infantry soldier, hospital matron and a surgeon's wife. Her two great childhood loves were history and science fiction so it was natural to pursue a career as a Speculative Fiction author. She loves proposing the question “What if?” and see where that takes her in a story. History and science fiction work well in tandem in this arena. She also loves the idea of time travel and has on occasion wanted to cross that veil.

Kelly writes adult Speculative Fiction (Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror), nonfiction ghost stories and military history and as Kelly Roberts Young Adult Spec. Fic. She is the co-founder of Marion County Fiction Writers (OH) and a member of Mid-Ohio Writers Association based out of Mansfield. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in US History from Northern Michigan University and was a founding member of the Society for the Preservation of the Imagination the campus science fiction club.
