The Keizer area Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is a program designed to prepare Keizer residents to help themselves, their families and neighbors, in the event of a disaster. The training covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available.

The goal of the CERT program is to provide for community self-sufficiency during the first 72 hours after a disaster.

Keizer CERT is taught by local Keizer Firefighters. The cost is $60 per person, but participants receive a survival pack valued at over $125 .
