Keep Kingwood Green is a non-profit group of concerned citizens and business people in the Kingwood and Lake Houston Area. We are striving to increase awareness about recycling opportunities through education. We publish a pamphlet of the places to recycle and items that currently can be recycled. Also, we are working with the City of Houston to build a permanent recycling facility in the area. Other immediate goals are to increase green waste recycling, increase commercial recycling, and influence community associations to renegotiate trash pick up contracts to include curbside pick up of recyclable items.
