Sometimes I'm a bit dense. In the article on BCD I show the formula for
calculating the proper capacitor based on the measured resistance of the
turnout coil. Never occurred to me that some of us may not have accurate
Ohmmeters to do this measurement.

I should include a little table with the proper capacitor size for the most
common turnouts. I have the Kato N-scale turnouts and double-crossover, but
I don't have access to the Kato HO-scale units nor to the Atlas twin-coil
units.

If y'all will help by sending me the resistance measurements on your
favorite turnouts, I'll add a table to the article.

Probably be nice to include the other Japanese track (name escapes me at
the moment) as well.

Ray

George, I measured the 3 types of Kato HO switches machines I have. The #4 measured 5.9 Ohms The #6 measured 11.9 Ohms The #6 addon measured 5.7 Ohms Used a...

... HT, Thanks for the measurements. It is a puzzlement why the resistance of the add-on #6 is so low compared to the regular $4 or #6. Hopefully others will...

George/Ray: I have little doubt that the circuit you designed is a good one, clever and simple too. What I suspect some people find unsettling is your...
