There will be an informal FLL exhibit at UK's Eday this Saturday, 2-25-06,
from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. We will have this year's challenge mat with
robots running through their missions. Several teams have committed to
bring their robots to demonstrate, but all teams are invited to
participate. Please feel free to bring your robot and show what you have
learned.
The FLL exhibit is listed in the flyer under Student Exhibits (Tau Beta Pi
is the engineering student group involved). We will be in the basement
hallway connecting ASTeCC (the loading dock) to the Ralph G. Anderson
Building. There will be information regarding a summer workshop for coaches
and handouts for those interested in joining or starting an FLL team. There
may be more support available for new teams just starting out in Kentucky.
Anyone interested in starting a team is welcome to stop by, ask questions
and get more infomration.
My understanding is that there will be a JFLL exhibit and information as
well. I've heard great plans for next year's JFFL program!
Since next year's theme is "Nano Quest" this Eday is a great opportunity to
learn more about the topic. The NanoEngineering Center is referred to as
"CeNSE" and is located on the third floor of the ASTeCC building (up a few
flights from the FLL exhibit). Look for rooms 349, 365, 369. My team is
VERY excited to see this.
