Description

The Kansas Near Space Project (KNSP) list is a forum for those interested in amateur radio balloon launches in the central US. The list originally was begun by (Lloyd) Paul Verhage, KD4STH as part of his balloon project.

The photo is from the Great Plains Super Launch 2001 on June 30th, 2001.

A 600g Totex can make 90K' at 1000 fpm with up to 2 lb hanging off the neck. That's a typical parachute and a APRS beacon and not much more. 73 de Mike W5VSI
