Also... when you click on "Start"... if you see "Control Panel" on the right-hand side... you can click on "Control Panel" and then look for "Device Manager"

On your desktop, right click COMPUTER or MY COMPUTER Select MANAGE In the left hand window select DEVICE MANAGER In the right hand window you should find COM

Download FindComPort.exe from www.wouxun.us- It is a handy utility for checking Com ports. JohnW W5JHW

I am sure this has been discussed before, but I didn't find it searching the archives. I just moved my HT programing duties to my Dell N5040 64-bit laptop
