Mr.Morris Perez, a quite, reserved 53 yr. gentleman of Portorican and Mexican descent, was savagely assaulted by SF Mission PD on 9-9-06.
Around 8 pm, Mr. Perez was showing a small sword that he just bought at the flea market for his personal collection to a friend, when 6 Mission Precinct officers ganged up on him,pulled out their guns pointed at him,(6 muscular, body building type officers, over 200 pds while Mr Perez is a short stature, thin man) yelling: "get on your knees and put your hands behind your head", "You son of a B...". One of the officers violently kicked him in the back after he assumed the position, while another officer put his foot on Mr. Perez' neck. His back made a loud cracking sound, his eye got injured on the pavement, about 12 bystanders were looking on, a woman shouting: "What the hell are you doing this to him for??"
An officer kept yelling at the by-standers: "Keep walking! You heard me, keep walking!"
Oddly, as soon as Mr. Perez hit the pavement, within less than a minute he heard the ambulance and Fire truck sirens, and saw the paramedics rushing at him with stretcher and neck brace...
Mr Perez, going to court FOR THE 4TH TIME on January 4th, is gravely disabled since the assault and can no longer work as a carpenter snd tiler/linoleum worker, and leaves in fear of a future assault, lost mobility in his neck and lives in excrutiating pain...Mr Perez has no criminal record, born and raised in SF, and never used drugs. He is a hard worker who lost his livelihood and quality of life. Justice 4 Mr. Morris perez!
