I didn't really dislike Mercy, I saw her more as a 'lost soul'. If you think
about it a bit, she is almost a diametric opposite of Marc but they both had to
travel time (in opposite directions)to truely find themselves. In the
Milieu-present Mercy was unable to live as her genetic programming dictated
(seems to be a lot of 'nature' in the Tanu Genome- moreso than the human). Once
back in Goriah she was able to plot, scheme, drink, feast, and fornicate with
wild abandon with her daemon lover as her Tanu genome was wont to do. Her
experience and enculturation into Tanu society was as wildly successful as
others were unspeakaby otherwise...
