Jingletown Arts, Business & Community (JABC) is a group of artists, business owners, and community members in Oakland's Jingletown area, coming together to share ideas about neighborhood networking, commerce and arts visibility in Jingletown, Oakland, the Bay Area and beyond.

We welcome local artists, business people and community members living and/or working in Jingletown to join our group. We are hoping to create opportunities for community exchange, creative and business growth in the neighborhood as well as honoring the vital and important historic roots of Jingletown.

We had our first meeting in December 2005 and started to develop short term goals, all of which we have accomplished including: creating a website, organizing an Earth Day Clean Up, hosting art exhibits, publicizing artists' open studios and more..

Our long-term goals include developing a web-based and printed directory of artists and businesses, expand our website, develop a Jingletown Art Walk & Art Fair, continue to create community liaisons as well as creative and positive collaborations.

In a time when our neighborhood is growing in leaps and bounds, we would like to encourage patronage of Jingletown businesses and continue to increase awareness of the rich and diverse population of residents, business, artists and creative opportunities in Jingletown. Come join us!
