Naxals diktat for vacating the Village to Eight families in Dantewada in Bastar division.
Esteemed All,
Warm regards;
14 children of Mukuttong village in Police Station Bheji in Dantewada district have been made homeless and their childhood compelled to face What adversities they could face in its worst forms?
On 14th of October (just a month ago from the childrens day) Eight tribal villagers were asked to evacuate the village or be ready to face the dire circumstances. 45 villagers have though vacated the village, but can you think of 14 children whose rights are being infringed upon owing to this DIKTAT. All these villagers fall under Nange Paon (Poor) category.
100 Naxals came to village, reprimanded the tribal villagers. The villagers houses have ransacked, essential commodities looted they were brutally beaten. They were so much intimidated by the incident that they kept them hiding from naxals and searching for a safe abode. The villagers might have tried to negotiate or have had lesser faith upon the sole representative of the government functional in the division which we call Police. Hence, it took 6 days to reach the police.On 19th they reached Injram camp and sought refugee there. Anyhow they did lodge a report with the police station - Konta yesterday i.e.on 20/10/2009.
Can anyone of us in this group intervene negotiate with the perpetrators.?
Pledged to remain bare foot until human rights are totally exercised;
Sincerely Your's
(Rajesh Singh Sisodia)
