The Jhana Support Group is a peer-level support group for practitioners of ecstatic Buddhism, as well as any other ecstatic contemplative tradition. We are interested in understanding ecstatic contemplative practices and traditions, and the process of spiritual awakening.

We support people as they move through their spiritual awakening, and begin to experience ecstatic absorption, and any of the conditions of ecstasy that may occur due to meditative absorption, such as ringing in the ears, vertigo, out-of-body experiences (OOB), astral, and lucid dreaming, bliss, ecstasy, kundalini, chakras, auras, etc.

This group is also in support of meditation practitioners who conduct practices that may cause ecstatic absorption, such as vipassana, satipatthana, Dzogchen, Mahamudra, Advaita Vedanta.

The ecstatic absorption states and conditions go by many names, such as the 8 jhanas, 8 samadhis, and 9 dhyanas, jhana, gyana, rigpa, shunyata, Samadhi, Nirvana, fana.

We support people who come from any ecstatic contemplative tradition, such as any vehicle of Buddhism, whether it is Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana, Western Buddhism, or Ecstatic Buddhism; or any other contemplative tradition, such as mysticism, Yoga, Kabbalah, Sufism, Gnosis or Christian Contemplative practices.

We also support people who may be experiencing meditation induced neuroses, or psychosis, such as MPD; or any meditation induced physical ailment, such as vertigo, tinnitus, .

This is a peer level support group, so everyone is welcome to join in to discuss and contribute.
