Since 1999, Jet-Ex-Press is the place where rocket- and jet-propelled aeromodellers connect, ask questions, find answers, compare notes, locate kits, supplies, plans, motors, and parts, collaborate on R&D projects, announce new products and services, share technical papers, plan contests, share news, tell stories, and have fun.
Many of us are seasoned Jetex enthusiasts. Some fly Dyna-Jet and other pulse jets, and others are experimenting with Rapier rocket boosters for model airplanes. If you're an experimenter, amateur scientist, rocket engineer, scientist, techie, aeromodellers of any stripe, plus propellant chemists, collectors, students, or an old-timer hangar pilot, let's all talk story.
Sign on, and lift our spirits, make us laugh. And if you're in a quiet mood, feel free to simply sit back and lurk in the sweet fumes of guanidine nitrate and 2,4-DNR. One and all are welcome.
Among the topics of recent discussion:
* How to make slow-burning Rapier-type propellants
* Improved propellants for Jetex motors
* Sharing very old freeflight modeling plans
* Rapier motor development and testing
* Trading engines
* How to tell a Jetex 50C from a 50 Export model
* Details about early jet modeling history
* Using twin engines on a free-flight model
We're not always "on topic," and that may lead to some good stories and humor (which we heartily welcome). If you don't want regular e-mail on these subjects but are interested, subscribe and read the messages on-line. We never divulge e-mail addresses. Our member directory is private.
"Off-topic" does NOT mean "anything goes". We will NOT tolerate spam, nor discussions of religion, political issues, or anything unsuitable for women or children!
Be sure to visit our extensive files, plans, and photos section, where you're invited to post yours and download ours.
