Recently, a Jewish believer has asked me to have lunch with him. He says that I counseled him years ago but I don't remember it; it was probably about following Y'shua (Jesus). I was a pastor and my 'sixth sense'/ gift of knowledge tells me that it is about SSA. He had come to our congregation years ago,left and has returned. My dilemma is that he is a buff, hottie, younger hunk and a 'voice' is telling me that I shouldn't do it---counsel him. I, and others, have had the ignominy and opprobrium of being labeled with the gay stigmata, the badge of dishonor churches/congregations force ex-gays to wear. I don't him labeled like this as his walk is just being renewed ... I don't want to take the risk of showing up with a 'hetero' and he sought me out. My congregation is very homophobic and likes the 'lashon ha-ra'----gossip. I woke up from a nightmare (not about the situation, though) and the 'voice' is telling me that I'll cruise him and not to counsel him. There are very few Jewish believers in my congregation, fewer from Mediterranean-Spanish Jewish backgrounds (Sephardic), fewer with my years in the ministry and none with SSA. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Ezra, I have been extremely busy of late especially since I am trying to impress some people at work like my supervisors that I am worthy of keeping my job. They gave me a final warning they call it when I didn't have a supply for a pediatric patient. I dont see how they can fire me but time will tell.

I dont really feel qualified to advise you. the safe road would to be to say you have some reasons for not couseling him. If there is any way of finding out his reason for seeking couseling before you go to lunch with him maybe that would help. I haven't been all that faithful writing you. I didn't realize you were in a congregation with so few believers. I wish I could help you more. I have two friends that are retired pastors,both men are approaching 80 years old who I can talk to about anything but I havent in a long time mentioned ssa. It would be difficult for me to explain to my wife why I even write you much less explain that I want to ask my friends what you ought to do. I can pray for you. There are times when I wish I could do something with just another guy like go bowling and not have any sinful thoughts. My hands are full taking care of my wife and daughter though and dont even have much time for such things. I would even be afraid if you and I met that my thoughts wouldn't be right much as I would like to meet you. Dont know if I said anything to help you and I have to get working again. I did over 13 hours yesterday here and had to be back at 6am. Praying for you, brother, Dale

Hey Guys!!!! I am an assistant Youth Minister,and Handle our Little
League Baseball team. I try and minister to the Young Boys on various
subjects,including the bible,and masturbation. Parents think their

Brother you must flee! try not to make any sexual commets to him and try not to be alone with him. these things are a must. plus do you have a accountable partner to tell. because depending on the age of this guy he could try to set you up it you turn him down and rat him out. You are the adult in this situation. Tell him (1) porn will not be brought to the meetings (2) don't be alone with him. You have toooo much to risk, including a child molestation charge should his parents find out. Perhaps you can take a sabbatical or get another adult to be your assistant, but by no means be alone wit this boy.

I believe if you pray sincerely to God for help He will give it to you. It sounds like you know what the right thing to do is... you just need support in doing the right thing.

Also - think about the boy this way: What if he were your son... how would you want him to be treated?

I hear the turmoil that you are going through.  What you are going
through, would be a DREAM-COME-TRUE for most men who are deceived
into following their flesh, instead of The Spirit!

Please see this for what it is... a TRAP!!!! In this day of
lawsuits, people are loosing faith in God's people.  The church is
definitely a target for such behavior.  Please do whatever you need
to do, to get away from this boy. Please know that if you give in,
this kid could get you and your church in trouble.  If you fight
HIM, he could cry wolf, and there could still be trouble.  You have
already admitted to masturbating as a result of your ordeal, and you
have not EVEN done anything!

You are THE LEADER!  You should confiscate the porn, and go to your
leader, as you are the assistant.  You should talk to him, so that
you have accountability.  The kids may not like it, but you now have
a responsibility to to take action!  Even though you struggle
(operative word...STRUGGLE), allow God to give you the strength to
fight it!

Yesterday evening I and a close , straight brother did some ministry
to a young married couple. It was very powerful. I get home and what do
I do? Look at X rated sites and masturbate. I have ED because of
diabetes and other conditions so I can't even get a decent erection,
but I don't know why I did it, why I so easily went to the porn sites
without a twinge of remorse.Later, after the fact, I was filled with
remorse and conviction. I feel like such a hypocrite, such a spiritual
defective, I think to myself, "Why keep up the charade? Christianity is
just another role among the theatrical presentations that I have
acted." After such a powerful night of ministry and I go back to eat
vomit and crap. The ONLY brother that I have really felt of the L-RD
to be accountable in person and I, our schedules are at conflict. For
months I have wanted to pray and seek counsel with the brother but our
schedules won't allow it. I realize the need and value of vis a vis
accountability but it has not come to fruition and now I feel like just
dropping the role.....Ezra

TV wasn't a factor. One would think that being a believer since 1973 and being a former pastor I would stop playing with my p$*&s at age 55. Unfortuneately, most branches of Judaism accept homosexuality and some even perform "weddings" and the liar tell me how good it was in
Egypt that I wouldn't have to struggle. I am going to paste a Scripture on my PC but most importantly, ask the Spirit of the Living G-d to change me and renew me.

"well first of all..i have my struggles too.....so i'm not sure if i really feel.....adaquate to talk about conquering your temptations when i struggle and fail also....

but but encouraged that you arn't the only one goign threw it....i am too....and so are many other christian young men..

you should realize that the temptaions are normal....the bible sais to "not think is strange when the fiery trials come to tempt you"....so it's normal....it's not like only you experience it...and it's cause you are a worse sinner than anyone else....Jesus was even tempted in all ways just as us humans...yet without sin...it is not a sin to have those temptations...i have temptaions alllllll the time....it beocmes a sin when you give in to that temptaions....which i know both you and i have a hard time with...i find it very encouraging to know that Jesus himself have temptaions like us...yet did not sin....he's like my role model...everytime i'm tempted i try to think of Jesus and how he resisted temptation and how threw his help i can too!!....it's not easy....it never is...and it never will be easy....it's not meant to be easy.......so don't get down and discouraged because you are tempted....instead think of that temptation as a door to have you become more like christ....because it's threw our temptations and trials that God draws us to himself...there will be times when we fail....and during those times we can grow in christ too....it's a daily struggle....take one step at a time....don't look at it as i need to TOTALLY get rid of my gayness....take EACH struggle EACH temptaion one at a time....each day at a time....every minue that you are home alone at a time....

i know what you are going through - i am 57 now and at 55 i battled -
  through prayer of others i am sure - i found a couple of youger
guys whom were strugling with j/o and ssa and through them i have
improved my stance on staying away from sites and j/o - no i am not
totally cured but much improved - i also teach 7 - 8 graders as want
to get their focus on god first in their life - that requires some
bible study wall la i get some teaching while occuping myself on
good things and even purifying myself through the process

Hi, I read a post by someone that said that some are born gay or something to that effect. If that were the case how could there be so many? its not like gay men can have babies. It seems to me that there are a lot of guys being deceived into thinking this way. I know for a fact that several guys hit on me before I had any idea of taking my clothes off with another guy. It wasn't something I was born with or thought up my self. and if my dad had not had problems resulting from his own upbringing I might have been tough enough to withstand all comments, comeons-whatever, I might have been a deerslaying, live off the land, confident totally masculine guy. But I might also have not been led to trust Christ as my savior during my first year of college since neither of my parents(my dad for sure) have a vibrant relationship with Christ. Its not mere coincidence that I am writing again now. We are having revival services at my church and they are full of power that is seldom heard of at many churches today. If I could only continue to be as convicted after the evangelist leaves as when he is here.

Cant stay on here. but had to spout off a little about how far off base some guys are about the reason why men sin with other men-not that that's the only sin we are ever guilty of.

King James did neither write or re write. He only sponsored the translating of the Bible into the English language (which in certain parts of Europe up to that point was a crime punishable by death). Secondly, concerning King James being gay, anyone can make accusations concerning a person 400 years after the fact. In law and in jurisprudence there must be a perponderence of evidence and/or credible wittnesses for an accusation to be counted as fact.

hey my name is byron I am 15 and I have suffered with masturbation and
homosexuality for about a while. my parents found out and they showed
me what god's love is how he loves you but punishes also well I have
beeen struggling with porn sites and came for some releif and help out
of this situation and would like to help others. I beleive that
homosexuality came from the pits of hell and should be trated like it
was soit isn't something your born with or it isn't allowed by GOD so

Things sure get twisted by guys that call them selves gay. I might have done things I wish I hadn't but I dont call myself gay. What a way to distort the real meaning of a word. Most of them dont want to call sin sin either. There is the verse in the Bible that says something about calling evil good and good evil. I guess we have really come a long way. Like the Evangelist said last nite we dont need a bridge to the future like HIllary said. We need a bridge to the past. A time when men (and) women got up early and read the Word and prayed and looked and acted like Godly people should.
