This is the official chat group for members of the Jefferson County Missouri Freecycle(tm) list.

You can discuss topics related to the Freecycle(tm) list, ask questions about proper posting/list etiquette, etc. Basically anything list related that isn't allowed on the Freecycle(tm) list (OFFER, TAKEN, WANTED, RECEIVED posts are all you can post there) are ok here.

We want to provide peripheral options for members which are not generally allowed on the regular board such as yard sales announcements, services, community event info, etc. However, our chat cafe may not become a sales group which parallels the Freecycle board.

We encourage local resourcefulness and involvement. Our cafe will serve as a forum where members can show community appreciation; ask for information on local services, businesses, charities, and nonprofit organizations. Members will be allowed to set up a database for this purpose. Members should not sell on list, but may "hook up" off list. A vital part of Freecycle(TM) is providing a connection to local community causes and organizations.

This is the ONLY Freecycle sanctioned chat/cafe group for Freecycle(tm) in Jefferson County. I will do my best to keep it completely objective and unbiased.
