Jane was born in October 1537. She was a great niece of Henry VIII and second cousin of Edward VI. In history she is known as the uncrowned Queen. When young Edward VI died, Jane was falsed to accept the crown. It lasted just nine days as Edward's eldest sister Mary led an uprising and triumphed in gaining the crown. Queen mary later had Jane executed. Jane was executed at the Tower of London on the 12th Febuary 1554. Her husband Guilford Dudley was also executed on that same day on Tower Hill.
