Sriramacaritabdhiratna is a classic Sanskrit Kavya composed in
the 20th century by Vidyavasapati, Kavi Bhusana Pt. Nityananda
Shastri. Written in the Citrakavya style, it reflects the poet's
mastery of prosody and rhetoric in his use of rare Chandas and
Alankaras. It is also a rare specimen of acrostics.

It chronicles the life of Lord Rama, likening it to an ocean. It is
composed in 14 cantos - a figure that corresponds to the no. of
jewels that emerged when the ocean was churned as well as the
period of Rama's vanavasa.

This work is made special with first letters of each of the padas
of verses beginning with the first letters of the Anustubha verses
of the Valmiki Ramayana. Were all these initial letters to be put
together, the Valmiki Ramayana would appear in its entirety.
