This book describes Jaina Sacred Scriptures in a nutshell. It contains

This is a useful and interesting book. The scriptures covered were first
published in the Sacred Books of the Jainas series, pub. by pioneering
Jain scholar Barrister JL Jaini at Lucknow in the early decades of the
20th century.

Jindal has written scholarly studies on each of the scriptures. His study
includes not only an exposition on the contents of the scripture but also
a scholarly attempt to fix its date and its contextual relationship with
other Indian scriptures written in the same era. Jindal also sheds light
on the author of the particular text and his overall contribution to
Jainism.

Jindal's brilliant study is enhanced by footnotes, charts, illustrations and
definitions wherever required. His explanation of the content matter of
each scripture is absolutely superb, reflecting a deep-rooted
understanding of Jaina Doctrine and exemplary powers of explanation.

His well informed writing style and balanced scholarly approach make
it an excellent work, obligatory reading for the student of Jainism.
