DHATURATNAKARA in 5 volumes (Sanskrit)
By Muni Lavanyavijaya
Edited by Dr. Omnath Bimali
2004 240 x 185 mm 3000 pp (in 5 volumes)
81 7110 232 0 (Set) Hardcover Rs. 3500

The grammatical description of verbs plays a pivotal role in the study
of Sanskrit. Hence, the description of verb forms is a prominent
feature of any work on Sanskrit grammar. Dhatupatha is the basic
and primary component of the description of verb forms.

Many Sanskrit grammarians have collated all the verbs in Sanskrit
and illustrated their verb forms using different methodologies. The
'Dhaturatnakara' follows the methodology adopted by Hemacandra's
"HaimaVyakarana". This work has been rendered by Lavanyavijaya,
disciple of Acarya Vijayanemisuri, and who went on to become an
Acarya himself.

This compilatory work editing is so thorough, that it is unlikely that
any Dhaturupa or verb-form of Sanskrit has been overlooked in this
veritable ocean of verb-forms.

'Dhaturatnakara' not only complements the "HaimaVyakarana"; it is
a model grammatical work on Sanskrit Dhatus, and a must- have for
every student and scholar of Sanskrit grammar.

The title of each volume is as under:

Volume 1 : Tinantaprakriya

Volume 2 : Nigantaprakriya

Volume 3 : Sannantaprakriya tatha Yanantprakriya

Volume 4 : Yanluvantaprakriya tatha Namadhatuprakriya

Volume 5 : Bhavakarmaprakriya

The work is printed in five hardcover volumes. The volumes are
attractively published using a fresh typeface; reasonably priced
and the proof reading is impeccable!
